We had a pipe burst in our house on 12/26/22. We had it fixed by a plumber on 12/28 and had a few restoration companies stop by to look at it to give us quotes for repair. The last one we had come over was Anyweather. They arrived on 12/30/22. By the time they came all the carpet and walls were dry. I had fans and a dehumidifier running the entire time. They came in and all I asked for was a quote for the repairs. They used an instrument to detect if there was any moisture in the walls. It was completely dry. They asked if they could bring in their dehumidifiers and I said it was redundant since it was already dry but they said it would help remove any undetected moisture. I asked if I would be charged for this and the technician said no. He had me sign a document and asked for my credit card. I was extremely leery of signing anything, but he stressed it was solely for the insurance company and not for them. They could not continue with anything until the paperwork was signed. I looked him straight in the eye and asked him if we would be charged for this and again he stated no. The dehumidifiers were so loud and since everything was already dry I removed them after a few hours. A few days passed and no one picked them up. After a few calls a new person showed up to give us a quote. He was at our house for about 5 min to look over the damage. I asked him if we would be charged. He said no. The dehumidifiers were unplugged at the time and asked if he would be picking them up and he said they would be picked up in a few days. On 1/9/23 they were picked up by same technician that came to our house on 12/30. We never received a quote although we did receive a bill in the mail from AnyWeather on 1/24/23 for a bill with a balance due of $1,020.80. It was sent on 1/21/23 with a due date of 1/18/23. It deliberately leaves out any date they worked on the house because there was no work done. We were deliberately lied to and the their description of work done is false
