      In February of 2023 I was searching Facebook marketplace for used vehicles. I found a 2012 Chevy Cruze for $3,500. I messaged the seller (Shelly’s auto sales in Glasgow Ky) to inquire about the cost and details of the vehicle. I was told the vehicle was in great condition with no issues and that she was in fact changing out the spark plugs before I left to look at the vehicle in person. Upon going to the dealership I inquired about the lights on the dash board indicating problems with the car. The seller told me their on site maintenance team had not yet cleared the codes and that NONE of the codes were still active. I was aware that the trunk button was broken and that I would need to purchase an electronic key fob to get it to open. After doing a test drive the on site mechanic cleared the codes and I was told they would not come back. Two days after purchasing the vehicle ALL codes returned. Shelly’s auto refused responsibility sighting that I signed a “purchase as is” contract, and that any repairs after purchase were mine alone to fix. So far I’ve spent approximately $2,000 in repairs, replacing the entire cooling system, replacing the battery that technically expired in 2016 but officially became a dead cell in March of 2023, replaced the spark plugs, and STILL have over 40 codes to repair and maintain. The vehicle stalls and overheats, and Shelly’s auto refuses to do anything about it. I am not the only person they have lied to and sold defective cars to as after the ordeal I have found multiple people who have gone through similar issues with vehicles bought from said dealership and Shelly’s has refused responsibility. I’ve saved screenshots of my conversation with the seller, all repair codes current to the vehicle, and can contact the mechanic that assisted in repairs for further cost information.

      Left front wheel came off while driving due to missing studs and nuts on wheel hub extension. Ruined rotor and wheel hub extension. Had to replace rotor, 16 studs and nuts, front 4 wheel drive lock, wheel hub extensions and be towed.

      Bought a 2008 ***** ****** from them on August 6,2022. I paid $3,100.00 for the car. I bought the car for my ******** who was fixing start college to get her back and forth to her classes. And thats what i told shellys auto sales when i bought the car. On August 15, 2022. Just 9 days after i bought the car. The car broke down on my ********. I had to have it towed back to my house. Messaged the people at the car lot never got a response from them. Finally got them in the phone they asked me if i could her it to horse cave, ky to a garage that works in there cars i said yes. But the car lot people could not tell me the name of the shop they said they didn’t know what it was called and would call me back with the name of it. But they never called me back. A few days later got them on the phone again and they asked me if i could get the car to there lot in **** ****, Ky. I said yes and took the car to that lot that very night. They moved the car around to the back of the lot for a few days. I drove by the lot the other day and could not see the car anywhere on the lot at all. So now they have my $3,100.00 plus there car back. The car broke down before my ******** even went to her first class. It broke down before i could even transfer it into my name. I have not heard anything from the car lot at all. I still have the paper work from when i bought the car and a key to the car

      To whom it may concern,
      This email is in response to a complaint you received on my company, Shelley Auto Sales. The complaint ID is ********. We had been trying to find a motor to purchase to put in this car for Mr. *****. We were going to purchase the motor, and put it in with no charge to Mr. *****. But, before we could find and purchase a motor, we witnessed Mr. ***** drive through our town with a sign he had made in the back of his truck. The sign read “ paid $3100 at Shelley Auto sales for a vehicle that lasted nine days”. The next day, we received pictures of his truck with the same sign in the bed of the truck driving around another town. Then we started to receive pictures of Facebook posts made by other people that saw the truck with a sign in the bed of it. So, while we were trying to find what’s needed to fix this vehicle, Mr. ***** is driving around in a vehicle with a sign bad mouthing us, trying to cost us business. Due to Mr. *****s actions, we have decided to abide by the buyers order that he signed when he purchased that vehicle. The buyers order states the vehicle is being purchased AS IS-NO DEALER WARRANTY. THE DEALER DOES NOT PROVIDE A WARRANTY FOR ANY REPAIRS AFTER SALE.  I called his ******** back to advise her of this, but she hung up on me after I told her we were no longer interested in fixing this vehicle but before I could tell her they can pick it up at any time. I have attached pictures of the sign Mr. ***** made and was driving around with.
