We believe the dealer covered the vehicle we purchased check engine light illegally in attempts to deceive us as a buyer in purchasing a vehicle.

The issues discovered shortly after purchase should have produced check engine light notices on the vehicle and did not. ******** checked as well and suggested they also hypothesized this is the case based on car symptoms.

When we returned the vehicle to the dealer and confronted with the issue, dealer claimed to fix the car issues and charged us to do so without prior authorization while also refusing to acknowledge the fraudulent behavior they engaged in.

I purchased the Van and they will not give me my paperwork or my title.
And I have given them $4000.
I've got to run around and I actually ended up working at this car lot. And there are several customers unhappy and unsatisfied. Who are going through the same thing? I am not able to get through a title.

Customer purchased this vehicle on Jan 31st which has only been 28 days. Pursuant to Kansas Statute 8-135 (c) (7) The sale of a vehicle required to be registered under the laws of this state, without assignment of the certificate of title, is fraudulent and void, unless the parties shall agree that the certificate of title with assignment thereof shall pass between them at a time other than the time of delivery, but within 60 days thereof. Customer complains about not receiving the title. The customer has been made aware that his title is ready for him to pick up however claims he cannot afford gas to come get it. Therefore, we have made arrangements for the customer's transportation for him to come get his title this evening February 27th 2024.

On January 25 2024 I purchased a used vehicle from General Auto Sales. I was told that even though the solenoid was misfiring, the vehicle would still function. I drove it home, didn't have any problems. The next morning, I go to complete some errands and the check engine light comes on. The mechanic said the solenoid misfiring would cause the light to come on, the car should still work. I drove the car later that night with my family to go pick up some dinner across town. As we were coming back home the transmission temp light comes on. We park the car let it cool down, drive it back home. Due to it being the weekend we had to wait until Monday January 29 to take it back to the car lot to inform them of what was going on. They said I had a split radiator hose and failed thermostat. The owner, ***** ****** said they would order the new parts and repair my car at no charge. I asked if I would be able to drive to the Dillons down the street from my house, and was told yes by the mechanic. Tuesday, January 30 I was on my way back from the store and my transmission went into limp mode. I cannot drive the car over 20 miles per hour. Wednesday January 31, the mechanic said he would come to my house and look at the car. He did not show up on Wednesday. He called me February 1, saying he would follow me to the shop for my car to be worked on. I still do not have a working vehicle. I feel as though I have been misled as to the problems with the vehicle. I keep being told that once the radiator hose and thermostat are fixed then the car will work.

    Dear Amelia,

We take pride in always holding up our end and standing by our warranty. Our records indicate you did bring the ******* to our shop and our mechanics did work on it. However, after further inspection, we needed to make another appointment with our electrician, so you were asked to schedule a time to bring the car back. We reached out to you to schedule a time for you to drop off the vehicle as it was a several hour job and you said you did not want to do that and you didn't think it should take that long. You are still within your warranty so if you wish to schedule a time to drop the vehicle off you are welcome to do so.

In regards to the title, you were issued a free 60 day tag on the date of purchase. The date of Purchase was March 4th, 2023 so your 60 day tag expires May 3rd, 2023. This allows us time to get the title certified mailed to you. However, we want all of our customers to be happy so we will put a rush on the title for you. However, until you receive the title and register the vehicle the 60 day tag is completely legal to drive on.

    Thank you
