    I received poor work, frequent materials changes, work completed differently than as was stated in the contract, an absolute mess of a yard, and nowhere in their contract does it state that they do not accept credit cards but somehow in 2023 they do not. I had essentially 30 days to pay, not business days, actual days before being hit with additional charges, no consideration for customer service, the insurance process and timeline, and they would only communicate by sending emails to my work email. I would have been okay if they would work with me on allowing more time to pay since they did not state in any way up front that they do not accept credit cards or any type of cards for that matter, the contract just states that a convenience fee will be added for payments other than cash or check, but they were very rude when I tried to work this out. They aimed my guttering completely differently then it was, causing mud on the sides of my house and water in the basement, they used smaller gutters than I was contracted for, they tried to just fill damaged soffit with caulk instead of replacing it, and then tried to charge me more to fix what they had damaged, and after everything was completed, my roof leaks.

    Mr. M was a past customer who I gladly gave an estimate to. I have attached the area from his signed contract to verify how it reads:

    Payment will be due upon completion. A convenience fee will apply to any pre-approved payments
    made other than by check or cash. All discounts and warranties are void if the entire balance is not paid when due. All past due sums under this contract shall bear interest at the rate of 1.5% per month until paid in full.

    It clearly reads Pre-approved payments other than by check or cash. Mr. M never at any time prior start of work ask if payment by credit card was available. Customers are given the option to chose what type of shingle they want he chose a Heritage Shingle and I do the best I can to provide them with it. If the shingle is not available then I suggest the closest match which was a Heritage Titan XT class 3 shingle this was an upgrade at no charge to him he accepted this change with no complaints. The guttering installed was per his signed contract it was not installed smaller. The down spout size was not available and I did use normal size down spouts, Mr. M was given a credit on this which he accepted. The bottom of the down spouts where moved per his request no problem with doing that.
    The soffit was repaired and some additional repairs where done at no charge to Mr. M. There is a
    5 yrs. Warranty on labor which Mr. M certainly needs to use if he has a leak. The last time someone was out all roof protrusions where checked and verified they where sealed there where no stains on the ceiling to verify any leaks, I am not aware of any current leaks. Any warranty issues must be handled by this company to maintain the provided warranty if he currently has a leak I will have it checked out. I would not still be in business for over 60 years if work was done as described in this complaint and do feel some of the statements are not true. I offered an extra 30 days with no additional fees for him to complete the payment. I have expenses and cannot extend payment time any longer than 30 days. I regret Mr. M is so upset over the credit card issue and I feel that is the reason this complaint has been filed. I hope he can understand it is on all our contracts for all our customers.
