    I hired Richard ****** to replace 2 front downspouts in my house in mid June 2021 with bigger ones to improve drainage from the gutters as he recommended. After he started working, he claimed he was short of materials to finish one of these 2 downspouts to pour on the driveway as they all should be and he promised to come back to finish the work as soon as he could. I gave him all of the money we had agreed on for the whole job but he disappeared! I have been texting/calling him for the last 4 months with no response.
    ****** is a non trusted and a non ethical business! Be careful!

    I completed this job fully and every thing was functional and working properly. There needed to be a extra elbow installed on the end of downspout to change the direction of the water flow. I also went beyond my work instructions and cleaned out the nasty gutters that were full and didn't charge him for that. The kind person I am. Also his extra elbow is installed as needed. Thanks and have a blessed day

    In response to the business response, I would like to mention the following facts and we will be done with this guy:-
    1) I hired Mr. ****** back in June to discuss what needs to be done to improve the performance of my gutters. Mr. ****** suggested cleaning the gutters and upgrading the front 2 downspouts to larger ones to improve the water flow for $185. I accepted his estimate for the cleaning and 2 front gutter upgrade. No free cleaning as he mentioned! He started working on June 12, 2021. He was done in less than a couple of hours without finishing the necessary (not extra) elbow. I gave him a check (#265) for the full estimate of $185. He promised to come back and finish the job. I did not expect him to take off with full payment and never show up again!
    2) From 06/12/2021 till 10/25/2021, I had been sending friendly reminders (texts/voicemail) to Mr.******'s cellphone understanding that he could be tight up in another job here or there with no response! Till the morning I filed this complaint with BBB, I called him at 12:23pm on that day buy he did not answer or return my call.
    3)For 4 and 1/2 months, Mr. ****** did not attempt to reach out to me for his plan to complete the job! Miraculously, he showed up shortly after I submitted my complaint with BBB to my house. He never alerted me or any of my household. He just let himself in, put an elbow in and took off. After that, he sent me a nasty text message calling my complaint with BBB a ** and asked me to take my ** one star complaint with BBB someplace else!! There is no customer would pay a business to get insulted!
    4)For 4 and 1/2 months, Mr. ****** left the downspout with no elbow draining water to the side of my house, damaging my foundation and the extra water flow towards the neighbor's house! The elbow is not something extra. The elbow is an essential part in the front downspouts so the water would drain on the driveway not to the side of the house and cause a foundation problem. If Mr. ****** does not that, he should not be in Gutters business!
    4) Looking at the quality of the quality of the elbow which Mr. ****** installed: You can tell it was made of multiple pieces of different colors, tucked together in a very primitive way with unnecessary holes on some of the pieces till it hardly reached the edge of the driveway and was poorly spray painted! You can easily see the different stains of the multiple pieces tucked together! There is no customer would like such a cheap quality of work either.
    Finally, we all work very hard for our money. A customer would pay a business to provide a complete professional work done in a timely manner with a thank you at the end. Cheap incomplete work or insult is not what any customer want! Hopefully, this would a lesson for this business to do better!
    I appreciate the valuable efforts of the BBB to resolve this issue and the opportunity to share my experience with this business!

    Well I've been in business for 12 years and still running strong. So to be my first complaint a customer has and as I told him that I'm the phone several times that we had been working outta town,Doing storm work. Sorry that he's a unhappy customer and said he was happy with the work before I left. Oh and I don't do cheap work I charge accordingly as when I quoted you the estimate and you asked if that was the best I could do on price I said yes. I feel if I would of done the job for free he still would of found something to not pick the job. Hopefully he has a better experience in the future.
