I had a ******* computer that needed screws and I contacted the Computer Store in December 2022. Tony ******** indicated I would need M4-10 or M6-10 so I went to *** ********, got help from staff and purchased both kinds and washers. I was able to get my computer stand attached but then started getting a fan error. I contacted the computer store again and I was told a diagnostic would be $**. In January I dropped off my pc and asked if I needed to pay and the guy who took the PC said no. I got a text on 1/17/23 that my ticket was #***** and I would get updates via text. I didn't get any text updates so I sent an email to Tony on 1/23/23 saying I dropped off my PC last week and asked if I needed to do anything else. On 1/26/23 I got a text to reach out about the computer. When I picked up my PC, they told me to take it and go and there wouldn't be an additional charge. I asked about the diagnostic fee and was charged $**. The guy proceeded to say the computer had roaches and that was why it was bagged up and a lady told me to just ask building maintenance to spray my apartment. I was confused because I don't have a roach problem and I don't live in an apartment. I wondered if they were mixing me up with another person but didn't want to make a scene so I left. I consulted some other specialists regarding my PC and made an appointment with **** *** **** ***** as they had serviced the PC in the past. I contacted The computer store via email about the price difference and got a $** refund to match the initial quote and went back to **** ***. They opened the bags in front of me and the PC was dirty and the disk tray cover was broken off and wouldn't stay on. They took it to the back and opened it up and told me there were no bugs just dust. I took the PC home and contacted Tony ********. They didn't care for my PC properly, damaged it and kept the new screws and washers I had bought. The roach story is made up and I want a full refund and my screws and washers back.

(The consumer indicated he/she ACCEPTED the response from the business.)
I accepted the response to return the items they kept as well as a refund because it was what I requested when I filed the BBB claim. I'm disappointed I didn't get an apology. I'm upset I had to consult with other computer specialists and get a home inspection to prove I had been lied to or mixed up with another customer.
