      On 2/05/24 which was immediately after a very destructive high wind storm went through the area my Cyprus trees fell over. The neighbor at the same time was having a tree service removing her storm damaged tree. I inquired with the company what it would cost to remove my tree. My assumption was that they were properly licensed and insured to perform my tree removal and as it turns out they are not. In addition I am a senior and they high pressured me to do the tree removal on the spot without delay or the cost would be much higher. I did not receive a written estimate or given the opportunity to cancel as per CSLB law. It took less than fifteen minutes for the company to complete the tree removal and haul away.
      I received no invoice and paid by check to a private individual. More than likely they will treat the payment as cash and not declare the income.

      We received and reviewed the complaint from Mr. ********. He lists his address in California, but we are a local company located in Shawnee, KS. We have 9 branch locations, but all are located in the Midwest and Texas. I believe he has the wrong company.

      Arbor Masters sent me two different quotes. Both attached.

      First invoice quoted $485.54 to excavate 3 trees. I told them I didn't want all three trees done at this time. Cost would have been $161.84/each.

      Second quote came in at $280.27 just to excavate 1 tree. When I called and asked about the price discrepancy, they said they charged for having their people come out. That would have been for $118.43.

      Using that logic, I subtracted that amount from the $485.54 and the total would have been $367.11 to excavate all three trees. Making them $122.37 each. Making the extra charge on the one tree $157.90. That's a lot for just having someone show up at my house.

      Their pricing needs to be consistent.

      They are trying to price gouge me.
