2 starsMy Granddaughter and her family selected a week with Global Discovery vacation. Now ready to enjoy their week, to her dismay, the resort phone recorder stated they were closed due to a hurricane. We called Global and spoke to Debbie, Marsha McGinley (who spoke harsh), then Mgr. Kelli Brazier who hang up on me. All said no refund, nor would they help to relocate nor change the date for the family of four who was already packed, with transportation. They all said we didn't purchase their insurance for $99.00 which was never offered to my granddaughter and me being 86yrs old forgot about. I really thought this time share was fare since we had used it before. Please help us get a refund or have them extend their travel date or relocate this family. As you stated, travel protection is offered on all condominium vacations, which you unfortunately declined. We do encourage all members to purchase travel protection, especially if you are traveling to hurricane prone destinations during season. 1 starWe have been members for a few years , we have found the condos to be old dated whatever ,.. there ok at best. But recently we had a week stay in Maui at the Maui sands condo "resort". The buildings are old but the place is relative ok,, The room they gave us was an absolute sh...hole.. Not like the pics on line at all.. Nasty old furniture that hadn't been cleaned in years carpet same .. A wall AC unit out of the 60's that rattled like a Blender from the same decade in the living room with nothing in the bedroom but a plastic standup fan.. Oh and a note on the fridge that said don't put too much stuff in fridge cuz it takes a while to cool down. Seriously !! Antique surprised I dint have to go buy blocks of ice and some salt with a horse & buggy. If you've ever been to Hawaii its 80 humid with a slight breeze ,, Well inside a condo it can get hot .. We called the number for Discovery and there's no one there by the time we checked in ,we told the property manager we weren't happy with the room and we're not staying.. We went to an air B&B ,, I didn't call the emergency number Global provided because I didn't think this was considered an emergency well apparently it is according to Corporate .. Fire Fire the room is on Fire .. We were so busy trying to get another room at 5 pm on a Friday in Maui .. Some vacation! you go on vacation to d-stress and immediately have the stress of finding another room.,, So according to corporate I made a critical error and didn't call their emergency number . Because of this fatal mistake of not thinking this was an emergency They credited me a whopping $100.00 Yippee ! wow ! Went out of their way on that one.. 1 starIf I could make this a zero, I would. My parents bough into Global a number of years ago and I have been able to book weeks through them. Over the last few years we have noticed the inventory we had access to was not near what it used to be. We we sat through a recent sale pitch on ************ ********* and as ********************* would say, got the rest of he story so to speak. Representative was talking about all of the resorts he had access to when he logged into his personal account which I indicated we had not nearly the same number. He goes to talk to his managers and to find out, they had been trying to reach my parents to discuss changes to the program. To make a long story short, I was told they or me needed to purchase more stars to become **** as my parents were considered legacy members and to keep their costs down, no longer had had access to all of the resorts that had to have their contracts renegotiated. In other words, newer customers are paying more for their memberships than my parents and now have access to all resorts that are available as well as the reduced numbers we have access to which reduces what we have access to. Not only is that bait and switch but not what my parents thought they were buying into. Whats worse is they could not guarantee if I purchased the additional stars to become **** that the same thing wouldnt happen to us down the road. We have discussed taking legal action and I would strongly discourage anyone from wasting your money on this scam. So disappointed for my parents to have spent all of that money and not get near what they expected. To quote my 80 year old father, tell them when you talk to them that this program ***** which I was happy to do on his behalf!! Dont waste your time or money!Global Connections, Inc.

It appears your father purchased his membership just over nine years ago and the membership has been used to take over twenty vacations since that time. We believe the new version of the membership provides additional membership opportunities. He is more than welcome to stay on his current version of the membership, and we will continue to book vacations. As I mentioned, we started offering the new membership in 2020, and he has still booked six vacations on his current membership. 1 starWe won a free trip we were on the zoom call for well over the allotted time they quoted, high pressure sales and pressured into signing an electronic contract over that call (you cant read it right then) with no mention of cancellation process or the fact that they charge you 60% of your balance. The girl on the phone in *************** even told me that they DONT tell people that and IT IS NOT stated in the contract, it is their policy if you cancel after their grace ******* The free trip they offer is not free you have to pay $340 for ************ before you book and you cant take it on your time frame, its on theirs. The ********** trip flies into *** with no transport to or from *******. And you have to fly out of whatever airport they use. Like we have to drive three hours each way to get to Phoenix and then find a way to get from *** to ********** and back. I want to cancel membership weve made 2 payments, we need to replace our solar batteries unexpectedly and the $1400 is the cost of 3 of 16 needed. They wont let us out without paying 60% because it isnt free to sign you up for this stuff Maam i asked how they can sign us up for anything when we were going For the ** PACKAGE and have not chosen any zones to be signed up for? She just kept saying this isnt free maam if we let everyone out of their contract who asks wed be broke! Really? Well, If you have that many wanting out perhaps thats a sign you need to be more open and honest from the start with people. We would have enjoyed using this service later down the road had they been transparent and willing to work with us, but now we are feeling like idiots for ever trusting them to begin with. Oh and also allegedly her boss E*** is the ONLY person left to talk to about it and she has no idea when h*** be in the office. Good concept for travel, bad company ethics. Lots of hidden catches and fees. No transparency. They even ask you not to read online reviews before presentation.Global Connections, Inc.

1 starAbsolutely the worst! We were offered a free vacation regardless if we signed up or not. Never received anything. Pressured into signing the contract with GCI. We were never informed of the cancellation process or the additional fees. Prices through this business are comparable to other resources so there is no actual benefit. Havent been able to travel but still get charged annual fees and interest and informed that when we tried to cancel all they kept saying was it's in your contract that you only have 3 days with no other way out.Global Connections, Inc.

1 starWorst Vacation ever. I made the mistake of signing up with this vacation club because they assured me I could go on vacation whenever I wanted. To date, I am yet to get approved for the dates I want even when I did it a year out. I called the 2nd in charge of Global Discovery Vacation, ******************* cell number is nine one three, six six zero, seven seven eight zero, and he was useless and very defensive as I explained to him my issues with how this company lied or withheld the truth about the procedures to request vacation time. 1 starMy husband and I have been members for 6 yrs and have only used it a few tines. We gave never been able yo get a place where we want or when we want. Now they are calling and telling us that we need to pay **** money to be able to go to the places we want. We gave been trying to go to ******, but due to covid they cancelled our trip two yrs in a row. Now we are being penalized for being long time members because if we want to go there we have to give them more money to be a plus member. What a racket! Then they give you 5 min to decide if you want to upgrade and if you want to think about it the price goes up! Ridiculous. Wish i had never joined, should have known it was a racket.Global Connections, Inc.
