    This Business "KC Pest Experts" had made a deal to do the attic job. The owner requested a upfront payment for services of $3000. We wrote a check to him but only came by the house twice at which he never did the work agreed upon then just keep avoiding us and not showing up to actually do the requested work. He was supposed to get rid of the squirrels, clean the attic, sanitize and blow in new insulation. None of this was achieved. He didn't even get rid of the squirrels. We requesting a refund!!

    Mouse removal/eradication project supposed to start November 23, 2024. Text message from pro stating he was ill and needed to reschedule for 11/25. I said fine.
    November 25 meeting he stated everything he would be doing including observing outside the home for openings and filling those gaps. He also stated he hada new dryer vent and he wouldn’t bring that to prevent mice from entering. He said that project would take 6+ weeks with weekly visits. I paid by check for the initial visit as quoted $175. At that time he went downstairs to the basement level and placed bait boxes. Nothing else. The next week I did not receive any contact from him so I texted and asked what day he would be coming. He gave me the day/time. That day he stated he could not come because of another call-wanted to come the next day. I stated fine. This went on every week. He would not contact me and I would reach out to him. Every appt was cancelled & rescheduled-one week five times with various excuses. Of the 6+ times he was supposed to come he showed up three. I canceled a physical therapy appointment and then he didn’t show on one week. By Dec 8th I realized this was going to only get worse. The week of December 18 I finally state that I really needed him to start keeping his appointments. On December 18, he claimed my problem was finished and all the mice gone. I asked about the dryer vent and he said he would contact me Friday. Friday came with no contact but the holiday was coming up so I waited until after to contact him. Finally, after new year, I told him I really expected communication from the person I hire and informed him that as a business owner, he shouldn’t tell people things & not follow through. He told me he would be in touch. After not hearing from him again for two weeks, I finally filed a complaint through Thumbtack – I had hired him through Thumbtack. After hearing of the complaint, he sent me a message stating I was demanding passive aggressive , attacked me personally.

    On March 6, I paid KC Pest Experts $900 to get rid of bed bugs in my home. The owner ***** ***** spent the whole day performing this task. At the time I was impressed by his knowledge and efforts to assist me in this endeavor. He assured me that he got all the bed bugs. He gave me a 90 day guarantee, in writing, when I paid him.

    However, since then I have seen more bed bugs in my bedroom. They are coming out of my tuffed headboard on my bed. I have called him several times and he keeps promising to come back and get rid of these pests. He has given me several dates and times that he would come back, but he does not show up. At first he said he had Covid and could not come. Then, he said he was short of help and did not come. I asked him for my money back, but that did not happen. Finally, I told him I did not want to do business with him ever again..

    I am writing this so that you may list this company as a bad risk and keep other people from using them. I would greatly appreciate your help in getting my money back.

    We serviced this client for bedbugs on March 5th. We returned for a reservice to do a spot treatment as covered within the warranty on April 20th. Even though this client was out of their warranty coverage and called with a complaint, we coordinated to return to do more work for them for free to try and eradicate the issue in June. The client re-infested themselves with bedbugs, possibly by not following our procedures for laundry and washing items immediately during the day of our first service - our service that was over 9 hours. We had to cancel the return visit we were making for free outside of our warranty coverage because of the weather and contacted the client and let them know that, then they decided to tell us they wanted a full refund for their original service and did not want to work with us any more. We do not provide refunds on actual services we provide. This client received the service they paid for in full and we attempted to help them with their issues but they decided to leave us a hateful review and now complain to the BBB instead of being reasonable with our offer to help them even though warranty coverage had lapsed.
