      I needed repair to my automobile. I took it to Midas for the appropriate repairs but they did not reapair my vehicle properly. As a result I had to take my car to the Nissan dealership to have it fixed, and they advised me that

      Midas did not the make the repairs needed to correct the problem and had made matters worse. With the end result of having to pay te dealership 3418.77 to correct the faulty repairs done by Midas.

      This customer took her vehicle to the dealer due to a check engine light.  The code was for bad catalytic convertor. 8 plus months prior, we(Midas) installed a muffler and some pipe repair.  This repair has nothing to due with the check engine light.  However, the dealership stated that if they were to replace the converter, they would have to replace everything due to it being welded.  She never called to ask prior to the repair.  We could have warrantied out the muffler and pipe but we were never given a chance.  She authorized the repair.  Again, she didn't take it in due to a muffler issue, it was an emissions issue causing the check engine light to come on.

      I paid Midas over 3200 dollars to replace the heads on my vehicle and to put any timing chain and tensioner pulley well within one and a half months to two and a half months of this work being done the tensioner pulley became loose I informed and call them about this issue the belts were being chewed up by the police because they were not placed on properly and then the timing chain that they had put in had began to rattle I informed them about this as I lived in Jefferson City and had to print the car to Kansas City they told me to bring it down I told them it may not make it I attempted to bring the car down the timing chain came a loose and the car stopped I informed them of this they told me to tow it to the shop I told him it was their responsibility to tow it to come and get it they refuse to come and pick the car up as it was in Kansas City and I live in Jefferson City I've returned to Kansas City in the car has been towed away it is now in the impound lot and I cannot retrieve the vehicle and I am out of my vehicle I'm out of 32 over 3,200 I have no way to work and it is just being a total horror dealing with them and I am seeking the first childish complaint and then I am going to small claims court because I'm seeking compensation for my vehicle the wages lost and all

      I left a few messages for this customer to call back but have yet to hear from him.  I have the recorded call where the store manager and customer had a conversation about the vehicle not running correctly.  The store manager told him to get the vehicle to us and we would see if the issue was related to the repairs from 3 months prior.  The customer said okay.  The next time we hear from his is when his vehicle was impounded.  This has nothing to do with Midas.  A side from that, this repair has a standard 90 day warranty which is explained on every receipt and this repair has exceeded that.  If he gets the vehicle to us, we will be happy to inspect the issue and if there are any defective parts, we can file a claim with the manufacturer of the failed part.

      on 7-20-2022 I took an oil change coupon to Midas that included a free tire rotation. Midas refused to do the rotation due to tires too worn down. I took the car to the Highway patrol and they said the tires were fine. I took the car to another inspection station and they said the tired were fine.

      Midas also lied about the brakes. Midas stated the brakes were fine, but in two hundred miles the brake pads began rubbing the rotors.

      **** ******** the regional director spoke to *** ********* back in July when the incident took place and told him that we would do a "free oil change & tire rotation" the next time he needed it done.  It was noted in our computer system.  **** spoke with *** ********* today to remind him of that and he will be taking his car in to receive the "free" service.
