On 5/23/24 we signed a contract for installation of 31 picture windows and 11 casement windows.

      1. **** told us he would measure for the new windows from the outside. Nine of the casement windows can not be locked/unlocked without scraping the wood trim on the inside of the window frames. Per one of his installers, if the measurements were taken from the inside of the house they would have made allowances for the locking mechanisms. Per Provia there should be 1/2 to 3/4 inches to allow the locks to function.

      2. **** assured us our blinds would fit the new windows. But the only way they fit the casement windows is by attaching the blind brackets over the window screens. According to the city it is a fire-code violation to install the blind brackets over the screens on the windows.

      3. Since August of 2024 we have been waiting for screens to replace the screens that do not secure to the 2 dining room windows. They ordered a second set of screens and they did not fit any better.

      4. Attached please find copies of our windows and a copy of where a lock should be placed, per Provia.

We have spoken to our BBB rep and have been involved with this customer the entire time throughout this.  The BBB rep said we have as long as we need.  We are still in the process of trying to remedy this situation, but have gone above and beyond to make them happy.  Please let me know how you want to proceed.  We’ve left to voicemails with the BBB

      Business Response

we are in the last step of the process.

We are all waiting on a response from Hunter Douglas to see if the blinds are covered by warranty so we will know how to proceed. As soon as we hear back we will all know where we stand. We hope to be hearing back from the Window Fashon Store any time

      Customer Answer

      Date: 08/22/2025

**** has replaced the screen in the kitchen window that he punched out.

The dining room window screen still is loose but better than the previous 2 screens.

We are waiting for the ****** ******* representative, from The Window Fashion Store, to call regarding the blinds.

If the blinds covered under their replacement warranty then their company will come out and replace the blinds at no charge (due to warping of the blinds from the sun)

However, when the blinds are done if the screens in these windows fit like the screen in the dining room-this will be unacceptable as it is too loose to prevent bugs from entering the home with the window open.
