I am a person who has been through decades of abuse both SA and physical leaving me with trauma and a spinal injury. I was in my first semester here and I was being harassed all semester by someone who was also trying to find out where I live. It caused my character to be defamed. I was hazed. Discriminated against so badly I was alienated simply for having been abused before. I could not mention the abuse I suffered without being scolded by the department I was enrolled in. That’s against their own University policy. When I escalated the issue I was gaslit and manipulated and coerced into withdrawing because I refused to be silenced or victim blamed and shamed. This is the same University who has censored ******* **** preceding his assassination. I witnessed students laughing about his death. The very person that has been harassing me tried to justify his murder to me. Stating they don’t believe in prisons. They made it clear to me that there is no correction they believe is in order for those who abuse little kids or women. This obviously put fear into me. When I tried to speak up the very act of reaching out for help was projected onto me as harassment which is not the legal definition of harassment at all. That was coercive control to silence me. I made it clear I would speak up and that bullying and alienating domestic abuse survivors is a human rights violation that can cause them to lose federal funding. I filed a whistle blower complaint and I was retaliated on. It appears Kansas State has more room for offenders of violent crime than the victims of it. I have been degraded and dehumanized on a scale that is unreasonable entirely yet instead of any apology or accountability being taken they’ve tried to pretend my disability accommodation is unreasonable as to excuse hazing, bullying, and alienation. That won’t work because my accommodation was not unreasonable. Bullying people however does increase anxiety. Violating federal and ADA law should be exposed.
