    Since the spring of 2016, Signature has ignored repeated emails, photos, and video evidence of my foundation leaking and wood rot around my dormer and the fascia supporting the gutters. The crack in my foundation has spread from the ceiling to the floor in the intervening years. Signature is retaliating against me for reasons I won’t go into and forcing me into litigation. They ignore all of my requests for repairs and only complete repairs for board members and their friends. Signature does not respond in a timely manner to even simple questions and I have gone months without a reply. And then I have to email them multiple times to simply respond to my original question. One of the most incompetent companies I’ve ever dealt with. I have attached a timeline from a while back but it is not up to date

    Signature Property Management is the managing agent, we work at the pleasure of the board of directors.  Signature can not approve projects or spend money.  The HOA Board at The Devereaux makes those decisions and the directs Signature on what work can be done.

    I am rejecting this response because:

    I understand the response from Signature, in a limited sense. However, Signature's complete disregard for responding to emails and not following through on promises is a dereliction of their duty. I cannot petition the Board directly, Signature is hired to act as the intermediary between the board  and the owners. To hide behind "serving at the pleasure of the board of directors" is disingenuous at best, negligence at worst. Signature has a contractual duty to advise the board of directors. By this admission, they are effectively saying that a board could run amok and violate the covenants, rules and regulations, and they would remain silent and allow that to happen, and not offer advice and consent, as they are contractually obligated to do.

    This response is jejune and deceptive.

    Hello Thomas, 

    While I appreciate you don't agree that we are just the managing agent, the fact remains that we are the managing agent and we can not act without approval of the Board of Directors.  The law requires that the board makes the decisions as does our contract. 

    Please attend the next board meeting if you are unsatisfied with out the board is handling your issue.
