    We purchased a sectional with two power recliners and one manual recliner in October 2021. We spent approximately $3500 on this piece of furniture because we were looking for something that would last. In August 2022 (less than a year after purchase), one of the power recliners stopped working; it was still under warranty through the manufacturer. We called the business where it was purchased and was told it was “too expensive to make a special trip to evaluate the problem.” In fairness we live 25 miles from the store as this is a rural area. After 4 weeks, we called again, and even offered to bring the section to them if it meant we could get this taken care of. They declined that offer. Finally, the service team came and advised they needed to order parts. At this time (late August 2023), we have still not received those parts. In the 14 months or so we’ve been waiting, the store has never contacted us with an update. We do call the store every month, but we are told the part is on back order. In June 2023, the second power recliner broke. While the first one broke in the “down” position, the second one is permanently in the recline position. This makes that portion of the sectional unusable and the room is no longer functional for our family. We contacted the business and were told they would order a second part. We have heard no updates. Not only is the craftsmanship poor, customer service has been poor as well. We did contact the manufacturer in June 2023 and I have filed a separate complaint with that company as I do believe they are two separate issues. Unfortunately, we have a sectional that is useless and of poor quality that I cannot even sell to recuperate a fraction of our expenses—at least not in good conscience. I initially wanted it fixed, but it is a faulty product that I do not believe will last another year even if it were ever to be fixed. While I would like at least a partial refund, my primary reason for sharing is to warn others.
