  We had a home built by Yoder Engineered Structures. They provided the concrete guy as part of their build of our home. It is a metal building home. We specifically told them we are keeping concrete floors for our floors and want to make Sure everyone knew that. They supposedly did everything right. Then about 2 months after the home was finished and we moved in water spots started showing up in the cuts of the concrete. They have to this point spread all over the home ruining the floor. Come to find out after seeking second opinions they did not place any vapor barrier under the concrete and the moisture build up caused the spots. They were told immediately and followed up and and neither YES or the concrete company took any responsibility and offered nothing stating they didn’t have to place a vapor barrier. Other people we spoke with said that’s simply just bad and poor practice and not routine. Other companies also pointed out that there should have been core soil samples taken to see what type of soil you are working with. Our floors are ruined and to fix them it is going to cost thousands and thousands of dollars before even placing floors over them! This business has poor practice habits and takes zero responsibility for the problems they cause YES and the concrete guy. They should be paying to remedy the floors which a structural engineer quoted at $10,000 and to lay floors over $30,000

  YES has been to this site several times and so has the concrete crew that poured this project. There is a faulty drain line below the slab that is leaking. ******* personally admitted that the only time moisture shows up is when the shower is used in the second bathroom. The plumber had joints that were not glued before the concrete was poured. The concrete crew caught this and repaired the ones discovered before pouring. The plumber has not been held accountable at all, and he was hired directly by the customer.
