Back in December, I got the FIRST notice of debts from my stroke in 2020 for over 9000 and over 12000 when I received threatening letters. I called them, told them I was disabled, couldn't pay, on SSDI, and they told me they would contact the creditor and get back to me causing extreme emotional distress. But they were saying if I was on disability not to worry about it. I called a couple more times and they kept putting me off, saying with the snow they couldn't reach the creditor. I gave up and didn't hear from them.

I was turned down for housing and found out they have reported over and over, even the same debts on the score for ********** which is over 100 points different than my other 2 scores. They are determined to ruin the life of a cripple on disability and make sure I can't qualify for housing. All because its all about greed and they cant collect, but by god they are going to make sure I have to live with shitty credit forever after a stroke in 2020, no insurance, and losing everything. They just want their pound of flesh, reporting debts multiple times and refusing to correct it, so I have 8 accounts they have reported with the duplicates. How do these people sleep at night? Kicking someone who is down and trying to get her life back?

    Dear Consumer:

We received the account for the hospital and sent correspondence to you in compliance with all State and Federal laws regarding the collection of unpaid accounts. After the account was placed with us we waited our policy timeframe before reporting the accounts as delinquent to the credit agency. We have no control over the impact it has on your credit rating. We have also received your dispute as to those reports and are responding accordingly. We have reviewed the accounts and your allegation that they are not correct and therefore unlawful. We have confirmed with our client that the accounts remain unpaid and lawfully due to the client. Therefore, it is our position that the accounts are valid. We do not have, and therefore have not reported, duplicate accounts.

You've claimed the debts are yours, but just an inability, or unwillingness to pay. We do not have any duplicate reportings on your credit, and we sent the itemization information for each of those accounts which you've disputed through the credit bureau.

We are considering a policy change for this type of situation (disability, no ability to pay due to disability) that may suit your needs. As even though you are wishing to make determinations of the type of people that we are, when we are in fact good people, we cannot just take words at face value. Accountability for the goods and services that are received for anything are important, because if there aren't any payments ever, the institutions that help us to survive such circumstances that you encountered, would not be available any longer.

If you would like to submit a disability award letter via US Mail to our office, we will include that in our policy review, and determine if we can better adapt the credit reporting process to your case.

    Customer Answer

When I initially called them after I received the first bill a couple of months ago, they told me not to worry about it because I was on disability. They said they would talk to the debtor, but when I called back, they kept putting me off because they said they couldn't reach them because of snow days and then they never called me back. Now, BECAUSE I FILED THIS CLAIM,  they have resumed collections as a PUNITIVE MEASURE - how dare I dispute and complain because they have reported the same bills multiple times! They'll SHOW ME, USELESS CRIPPLE I am.   Let's try to take every last dime of someone in extreme poverty, yet they claim they are "good people." There's a special place in **** for these kinds of "good people."
