Bought a ****b and injector pump from SRE - ***** Numerous problems from the beginning plates on the motor and rear lifting ring was missing **** **** all missing parts. Got motor started and had diesel fuel leaks at the pass through orings **** said they got cut when motor was built . Fixed that then rear main seal went out **** **** new seal and a check for installation. Exhaust started leaking I fixed that so finally I thought maybe we are good to go. ***** ******************* gasket blew at number 6 cylinder called **** he said I got motor hot to send him pictures of heat tabs I did with no response **** always had a reason not to return a text or a phone call. Started taking motor apart took the head bolts out and they were pitted means used bolts. **** said that a ****b you can use head bolt over as long as they are not stretched, I ask **** if you cut cost there where else did you cut cost. Got the head off and you could see where the liner was moving that's what blew the head gasket. SRE has machine shops do the machine work but I don't know who builds the motor. Got a machine shop that came to my house and he saw that repair sleeves was installed in the block but the counterbores where not cut in. I think that once the machine shop installed the repair sleeves and decked the block no one check liner protrusion and put the motor together. Long story short I live in Alabama and ****'s shop is in Mi tried to get **** to come and put motor back together but no luck. **** did pay for checking the head and connecting rods and **** new head bolts and new engine kit and **** said that according to warranty he should only replace the parts that went bad but he would only pay for 1 countetbore Ipaid the rest . I was down 2 months and bought tools, tow truck and supplies to rebuild this motor and no one with SRE has contacted me since. The warranty you start talking to SRE is 16 months unlimited miles when you pick motor up the warranty is 7 pages long.
