Just read one of empire title bad reviews on BBB. Of course ******* Business owner Raked BBB over the coals. Its always someone elses fault right *******. You are so unprofessional you do not return calls. Your answering machine is all about avoiding any contact with your associates and yourself. Replies are never made calls are never returned.Finally on the fourth settlement all Empires mistakes Which I had to point out and of course a negative to me.The property got sold today of course I didnt get notified ????four hours later I had to call ******************** as so did my realtor to get any update. Left numerous text and phone messages no one returned the call finally someone text me around 230 and told me it had closed at 10 AM. I think thats due to my realtor calling them.This cannot possibly be true because closer was still talking to me after 11:00 AM.All about avoidance and no communication with this company its unbelievable. *** had lots of closings in ******* and ******* nothing even comes close to what I experienced with this company. Actually every one of them which is probably been about 30 to date.*** never had one problem with a title closing until Empire title.I did not choose Empire never even ever heard of them ...the buyer chose them.There needs to be someone who is monitoring title companies and what they are charging. This shouldve been the simplest closing ever there was no mortgage on my property .The charges for research were unbelievably high and they didnt even bother to research that my taxes had already been paid? somehow they kept getting my figures all wrong and I kept getting charged more and more .I told them my taxes are paid then they hike up the closing cost $500 for me ... ironically the same amount of the taxes.These people charged $133 me for overnight which is not even close to being normal its an envelope.*** never ever had a title company even charge me An overnight fee when ** out of state for a closing.The add-on charges that are not commonly on a settlement sheet are definitely on empires. I think there needs to be an investigation about that & why Their charges are so excessive. The fourth settlement form I didnt even get told what it was all about and that they did not give me the credit I deserved for paying my own taxes. Course never got it sent to me to look at prior to closing either.Messaged me on a text At their closing hour of 459 and I ask a question why and I did not get a response. So of course I had to call them because they dont open till 9:00 AM .I knew they wouldnt call me because they were trying to hurry and get this thing closed at 10 AM without communicating to the seller, me.i was asking questions well finally I got an answer text of course only. That they had the closing scheduled at 10 AM and I said well why didnt you get a hold of me and explain to me about this fourth settlement sheet about the tax changes that shouldve taken off and didnt? No response on that question no accountability no excuses just blatantly rude to the customer which is me the seller.** sure the buyer side got treated just fine because their realtor insisted on this title company.Their figures need to be looked at I didnt feel like I was being honestly treated. Honesty is pretty big for me.I of course will never do business with someone I cant trust ever again ...which is Empire title of ******** *******Actually I have not even questioned a trust issue with the title company ever before this one. Its astonishing. ** sure theyre supposed to take an oath of some kind that theyre supposed to be fair to both sides I didnt feel it here at all.Hold onto your wallet and dont sign those papers too soon because thats what they get you to do.Experience I will never forget but ** going to learn by it. To never trust anyone ever again isnt that pathetic.This experience was horrible upsetting and unsettling all at the same time actually pretty unbelievable.Now ** off to the next person I can complain to about this...This is actually a first for me. *** never complained about anybody before And *** been in business for 45 years.
