The old roof on my shed was brown, I wanted a new roof in gray to MATCH my house roof. On 11/23 /22 I was given a verbal quotation that I agreed to for $750.00. I gave them a deposit of $400,00 along with a copy of the brochure for the *** shingles that were previously used on my house. I was emphatic about the main reason was to match my shed roof with the newer shingles on my house. My house roof is a gray/charcoal variegated three tab shingle. The existing shed roof was a brown three tab shingle. I even went so far as to check with the supplier, *** Supply, to be sure they were still available. I wanted the shed to match the house. I gave them all the documentation I could think of to be sure we were in agreement. On 11/25/22 they came unannounced and completed the job, rang the front doorbell, and asked to be paid. I looked out the window and could see that the roof was now shades of gray. I wrote him a check for the balance, and then he told me that they no longer make the 3 tab shingle, so they gave me the architectural shingle which is more expensive. I shrugged my shoulders and accepted that parting bit of information. Upon closer inspection, I discovered that the shingles were not even ***, but rather ***** ******* so not even the color was a match, let alone the style. Beyond that, they used a light gray three tab shingle for the ridge cap, not the corresponding ridge cap used with architectural shingles. The ridge cap appears as being nearly white on the gray roof.I'm sure no good will come from this other to perhaps serve as a warning to others. In short he lied to me, after the roof was completed.
