I purchased a brand new in August 2021 Solitude From the first trip had problems with things falling apart for 1 the island in the kitchen 1 side come loose on trip had to fix myself . Now not even 3 years old roof has all kind of problems ripping all over ripples like it was never put down right to begin with. I had Campers that were 20 years old and never saw anything like this and payed a fraction of what this costed .

Thank you for letting us know about our customer...we do have an RV that is registered to ************************* from *******, but we show no claims regarding the Roof.  The roof installation is only warranted for one year and that warranty expired in July of 2022.

However if they could get the unit to their selling dealer we would be happy to look at pictures of the installation and see if anything needs to be done.

My wife and I pre-ordered a brand new Grand Design Momentum 28G toy hauler in 2021 thru Bluedog RV, When our unit arrived at the dealership we went immediately to do our walk through inspection and take ownership of the unit. During the walk through inspection I immediately found several things- broken generator door, cracked interior trim, and two bubbles in the flooring near the front bedroom area. Dealership offered to send us new trim and generator door if i felt comfortable installing, and they noted that we could bring the trailer back for the bubbles in the floor within the first year to be warrantied. We ended up taking ownership of the unit since we had just drove 7 hours to the dealership from our home. After some research on the internet I found that this is a much larger issue regarding the bubbles in the flooring than just the adhesive issue that the dealership led me to believe it was. This is a common issue in the ** momentum line near the front bedroom area as the frame flexes during transportation, which lifts the edges of the wood underneath and causes separation between the wood and the laminate flooring. We ended up taking the trailer back to the dealership for some warranty items including the bubbles, Grand Design did not want to warranty the flooring at first but after consistent pressure they finally offered to install a transition strip over the bubbles in the flooring. I expressed my concerns to the customer service rep that I was dealing with that it would be an eye sore but it would negatively effect resale value as it is now a trip hazard, and does not address the root cause of the problem. Grand Design fails to acknowledge this as a structural frame flex issue even after sending them pictures and fb post screen shots of many others who experience the same issue. Grand Design refuses to do anything beyond that type of repair. There are fb groups now related to frame flex/failure and they turn their backs to the problem.

This is not an issue with "frame flex."  This is a travel trailer and the area **************** is mentioning is where the toyhauler floor and the bedroom floor meet. In his model year there was not a transition strip installed as it should have been.  We have offered to do this no charge.

There is no frame issue to address and the transition strip is the proper step.

We ask that **************** have present the unit to any Grand Design dealer and have them call our dealer services department and they can instruct them on the proper repair.

They'll make you as the consumer, jump through hoops to fix the problems with their units. Calling any idea they have "suggestions" so they can weasel out of coverage of anything done to your unit per their "suggestions"Even if you show them proof of the issues (video, written documentation, multiple witnesses, etc.) and show that the parts they've installed are out of specification - they'll assume no liability leaving you with the bills and an unsafe expensive camper because they choose not to fix it. They'll try to bully you into submission when you stand up to them as well I've found and anytime they have information that hurts their case further they will call you rather than continue in email correspondence so they can try to lose the paper trails. They'll also tell you that people with 30+ years expierence don't supersede their techs who claim nothing is wrong when they've proven time and time again their products are failing. They'll also blame you - your expierence, tow vehicles, hitch(es), everything they can to push blame from their units. In my case the trailers axles were installed 5" out of spec in terms of front to rear positioning, and also have a 1/2" difference between a front & rear hanger diagonally causing sway, bounce, tracking issues, movement etc in the trailer. I've learned since that I'm not the only owner expierencing this issue and not many have found solutions that work. Those who have, i've tried with no difference made in my particular unit. Now I'm told it's my responsibility to pay a 3rd party out of pocket to prove (again) that there's still an issue. Then, once I do; it must be reviewed by their team before they deem it something they need to fix under their "warranty".

We are so sorry that the ******** are not happy with the situation, however we have had a dealer and a Grand Design traveling tech do extensive measurements on this and also our tech went on a one hour trip with the customer and the "sway" did not occur.

This is not a manufacturing defect.

We purchased a brand-new grand design reflection February 2023. We happened to notice what looked like a water spot on the cushion of the dinette table after pulling it out to go on a trip to *******. Everyone knows about Florida rain, right. Well, while in *******, we were in a down pour. We ran from the beach to our Camper to get our the rain. Well instead of getting out of the rain. it was raining in the camper as well through the skylight. Apparently, after joinign FB groups, someone overtightened and broke the skylights in this model. The skylight in the kitchen and bathroom are both broken. Water was everywhere. We also had an issue with the kitchen with the slide popping out when making turns. VERY DANGEROUS OBVIOUSLY. We had to have this issue fixed as well. I am not for sure if it is even fixed yet, because while dealer was fixing it, they damaged the floor in the *** The ** has been at the dealer since August trying to get the floor repaired 100%. They said everything was fixed on it and when we went to pick up the dealer the replaced floor was already peeling up. This rig is expensive and it is a piece of c*** and not worth the money. it is not fair that the consumer can be at a loss.

Just purchased a 2024 Grand Design Transcend Xplor 235BH from a dealer here in ******. After taking it out for a weekend we noticed that within a day and a half, the black water tank was almost full. We couldnt figure out why so we tested all of the lines and found that the bathroom sink (also the sink with the highest water pressure) was plumbed to the black water tank. The dealer never made us aware of this as they were not aware and the service writer as well as the sales rep who sold us the trailer were both dumbfounded when we called to ask about it. They said it was odd. I called Grand Design and sure enough, their specs for our exact unit (verified by vin number) said its plumbed to black. I spoke with two agents about this issue and the second agent essentially passed the buck on the dealer by telling me that if the dealer would have done a pre-delivery inspection, they would have known it was plumbed to the black water and could have told me. That leads to the next issue The user manual for our model says all sinks and showers are plumbed to grey with no mention ANYWHERE that some models are plumbed differently, therefore, I expect my sink to go to grey. Why would I think otherwise? I never would have bought this trailer had I known this. With a 39 gallon black water tank, it will fill quickly if 5-6 people are boondocking for 4-5 days. It just wouldnt last. In summary, the company does not care that we have an issue with this( we were told we could modify the plumbing on our own but would not be covered under warranty) even though their manual is misleading in making you think that your trailer is plumbed a certain way when IN FACT, it is not. BUYERS BEWARE!

They have no customer service. First time I put out the awning and then retracted it.It caught on the door that was opened and latched. Bent the c*** out of the arms Send pictures to Them to show the design flaw and they told **** should have shut The Back door before retracting the awning. No mention of that in the manual. What a bunch of chumps!! Once they have your money they're done with you!!!

This is the worst company we have ever dealt with! We bought a 390RK in 2021. The slides started chewing up. We discovered the company issued a ***************** Bulletin dealing with this specific problem. We asked them to stand behind their product, but in the end, we had to pay for half the repair. We complied with every request they made, and they still refused to honor the warranty. And, rather than correct the problem of poor engineering of the slides, they are still, to this day (****) sending this model out with the same problem. Many of these units have a frame that is cracking and a living room floor that sags due to faulty construction. We discovered improperly installed plumbing piping on our black tank and ended up with sewage leaking into our insulation. Every time we have ever tried to work with them to get a repair, they make it so difficult, we finally gave up trying. Thank God my husband is handy with repairs. With the aid of good mobile RV techs, he ha been able to fix most of these problems. The bottom line-these RVs are junk and the company does not stand behind them. We are looking now for a new RV to replace this pile of garbage, and are going to buy a Forest River model with a front kitchen. Owners of Forest River will tell you the company is easy to work with and they make a quality RV. Run, dont walk, away from Grand Design.

We are sorry to hear of your dissatisfaction.

    -The unit was purchased 4/21/2021

    - The warranty expired on 4/21/2022

    - Grand Design paid the dealer for 1 warranty claim for 5 minor items on 4/27/21.

    - Grand Design reimbursed the customer 3 warrantable claims including: a replacement faucet (9/10/21), slide rollers (11/9/22), and the *** referred to by the customer (2/10/23).

    - The customer has not returned to a ******************************************* dealer for repairs, rather has utilized mobile services. Grand Design's warranty does not cover service call fees for mobile technicians.

Bought a new Grand Design Imagine 2600RB January 2023. Since then it has been in the shop for half its life. The last 3.5 months I have been waiting for them to fix the cabinets ****** as the thermofoil wrap is coming off. They are blaming the cabinet manufacturer for the problem and trying to resolve it through them before they fix the problem for their customer. Its very frustrating waiting for them to take responsibility in fulfilling their warranty agreement. I was told to pickup the trailer while we wait through this process. I have since started a case number (Case # ********) in the hopes this would elevate the problem. It has been two weeks and still no contact from Grand Design.

Piece of garbage! The whole inside is fiber board, thin with cheap staples. Also lost the sheeting on the top doing 65mph in ********** traffic! They will replace it for $11,000.00 at the dealer! Its a 2019 and I paid a hefty amount for it! The whole unit leaks now when it rains! Poor investment!

We appreciate the feedback and in speaking with the customer we learned that they are a second owner that did not register their unit with us. The unit's transferable warranty (1 year base warranty) expired in July of 2019. We are glad we were able to connect with the customer to alert them about the recalls on their unit and provided them with information to have them addressed accordingly.  They are now registered in our system to obtain any important information in the future.
