My family was denied table to sit and eat after purchasing food from the Grand buffet My 2 children ( a 3-year-old little boy and 9-year-old girl),( also daughters father) and myself went to the Grand buffet on March 26th around 6:30 -7p.m. we went into the restaurant instead of buying buffets for my two children who would probably only eat one plate we decided to make our own plate at the buffet and have the food weighed out. After everyone went around getting what they wanted off of the buffet going to the register and paying for the food we proceeded to sit at a table. Was approached by a very young minor telling us that we could not eat inside.I asked him why? He could not give us an answer. Said it was the law. His boss does not allow people to eat inside even though it is a sit-down restaurant. other people sitting and eating. I asked to speak to boss he told me that she was not there and that I could not speak to her. After spending over $60, being told we we're not allowed to sit and eat was very embarrassing I felt like we were being possibly discriminated against. Like we weren't good enough to sit in the restaurant. My children were so hungry and ready to eat I wasn't going to ask for a refund. My the children and I actually love going to this restaurant and getting food, we have done it many times. Most times we don't have the time to sit in the restaurant we usually will go home and eat. Just didn't understand why they were telling us to leave. This is supposed to be a family restaurant. They didn't want to do their job I guess, I'm not sure. Instead of making a big issue we agreed took our food and left. After we went to the car I went back in realizing I did not get a receipt I went back in which I'm sure we were the last people that went in there paying cash I tried to get a receipt printed or wrote up anything and once again another Young child told me that it would be impossible for them to and print a receipt clearly the last people to check out

    Business Response

    Date: 04/29/2025

First of all, I am very sorry for your unpleasant experience in our restaurant. This is not what I want to hear. I will try my best to improve it. So we are willing to give you $50dollar restaurant gift card.  are you willing to accept it? Then I also want to explain to you why we don’t allow buffet to go customers to dine in the store, because in the past, many customers bought buffet to go and sat in the store to eat, but when they were full, they would take a lot of food and put it in the to go box when the staff were not paying attention, and then take away the rest in the box. In this way, we are losing money, so later we decided not to allow buffet to go customers to dine in the store. We also have our difficulties. I hope you can understand. Thank you!
