On September 18, 2025, I and my wife **** ********, purchased a HP wireless Laser printer model M140w at Best Buy in ********. As per manual instructions, I visited **********, provided pertinent information to download the wireless software. It failed twice. A chat box opened and offered technical assistance and asked for my telephone number. Within minutes, I received a call from ************. "***** *****," with a heavy Indian accent, said he needed to inspect my ** to diagnose why the downloading of software fails. He inspected the ** via remote access and stated that the ** has malware, and I need anti-malware. He offered ****** Lifetime 360 antivirus for $1589.4. He charged my card No.****************(no longer active). After investigation, the scammer has a Square Account under ******************** ********. On 23 September 2025, I reported this cybercrime to Square at **************. After the transaction, he proceeded to provide a customer ID No. ************. He instructed me to use ************** or email ********************************************* for future assistance. He did not install any Norton antivirus, nor download the wireless software for the printer, and vanished. I contacted ***** credit card and alerted them about a potential scam (case # C-202509221611). On 19 September 2025, I filed a cybercrime report with the *** and the *** Internet Crime 3(IC3), case No. encrypted). I also launched a cybercrime report with HP(Case No.**********). Both *********************** and ** have confirmed in writing that they have absolutely no business relationship with Stellar Tech Assist, whose website fraudulently provides Norton Global Partner ID: ******************************* is a business in ************: LLC ID22773832 In addition to $1589.04, this cybercrime has cost us an excess of $1800 in loss of wages, dealing with various agencies to report and explain the cybercrime, and filing complaints.

Thank you for contacting me. I appreciate it. To help BBB with the investigation, here is another vital piece of information:

The scammer used the telephone  number of Stellar Tech on September ******* @ 9:31 PM
On 25 September 2025 Stellar contacted me and left  voice message. The scammer is associated with Stellar The scammer is also an Indian. The website for Stellar falsely claims to be a distributor of Norton Life Lock . ****** has confirmed that it has no business association with Stellar.

On 07 October 2025, the ************************* contacted me to inform me that Stellar Tech Assist indeed attempted to help install the wireless software for the ** Laser Printer and charged $1589.04. However, upon ******* inquiry about proof of service, Stellar LLC failed to present evidence.

In light of the above, we now know that Stellar Tech Assist engaged in fraud against me, ********, and ***************. Stellar did not install Norton or the wireless software for the printer.

As per confirmation of ** and Norton Lifelock , Stellar is not their authorized subsidy or contractor. ***** has disputed the charge and investigating the fraud and online scam.

I will keep you updated on the progress of this investigation. I believe Stellar Tech Assists license to operate a business in ******* should be revoked.

    Thank  you ,

Please review the attached communication from ***********

I am seeking confirmation that my subscription is cancelled in writing by the business, Stellar Tech Assist. I subscribed to the business on Nov 19, 2024 and paid $265 and have a customer ID **********. I tried calling and the phone numbers for assistance were not taking calls. Finally I got a representative on the phone and she said I'm not eligible for a refund. I asked for cancellation of my subscription. Representative, ******, verbally said my subscription is cancelled as of today, July 29, 2025. I would like to receive a written confirmation of cancellation from this business. Otherwise, I'm afraid they will continue charging me for a subscription that I don't want.
