On September 17, 2024 I hired college hunks to move my daughter. The final bill was $851.20. From the start of the day the move was less than ideal. I was suppose to receive a call 30 minutes before arrival. They sent a text saying they were out front and where should they park. No one was staying at that location because everything was pack. One of the movers was not feeling well so his amount of work was pushed to the other two guys. By the end of the move I just had them leave everything mostly in the living room so I could be done with the move. I was not going to complain. But once my daughter started unpacking she told me her tv did not work. My daughter said you can tell where it had been dropped. She started the process of filling a claim. **************** said it would be decided in 3-5 days. I started checking back in with them weekly. Their customer service seems to be an overseas call center. The physical location doesnt have a sign or any indication their business is there. The call center said they can keep giving me phone numbers to the local operations manager but they only have 3 numbers. 1 is disconnected, 1 will not connect, and 1 is a personal number with no type of voice mail message. My last contact with customer service they said they would email the local franchise and escalate my complaint. I asked them to also inform them if I didnt hear back by 11-15-2024 that I was going to contact the better business bureau. To date I have not heard from anyone.

We engaged College Hunks to assist with our move from our previous home to our current home. The date of the move (and by extension, the transaction) was August 8th, 2024. We paid the business $1024.84 for the service provided. The business had committed to completing our move without damaging our goods. After the movers departed, we determined they had damaged our television (75 inch ***** purchased for $2400 in 2020) and departed quickly without notifying us of the damage. We called the business and were instructed to create a claim with their claims department. They have stated they would only communicate with us via email and have not accepted phone calls during the last three weeks. The last email communication we have from them is dated August 12th. We have followed up three times since that date and there is not yet a response from their claims department.

I paid almost $1400 for a local move on 2/28. The workers were not dressed in company attire as advertised & the smelled of marijuana. I was concerned about how they moved/protected my furniture but thought maybe they were wrapping/protecting it in the truck. I would not tell a ********* employee how to flip a burger, so I was not going to ask, tell or question how they moved my furniture assuming they know their job. I had expensive furniture damaged during the move which I noticed at my new apartment. Since the move while unpacking, I have found other furniture has been damaged. I also found that on the day of my move after they left that $350 was taken from my wallet, it was only me and the workers at my apartment so I know it was 1 of them and I believe he took it when he asked to use my bathroom. This was money I received from items I had sold on FB and had not been able to get to the bank to deposit it. Additionally, I found my desk lamp which was not in a moving box was not taken off of the truck. I did donate quite a bit of good furniture that morning and I can only assume that they did not keep it separated from the donations. I have opened 2 claims, left 2 voicemails and nobody has contacted me. I cannot find a corporate number to complain. All numbers lead to an automated system that gets me to an offshore person taking my call. I can provide pictures of the damage, receipts from the items damaged and/or missing from my move and the items sold to which my money came up missing from.

On 7/28/23, this company came and moved a treadmill for me. I was told that I would need to pay a minimum of 1 hour. The company was here 45 minutes. Someone else was here the day they came and paid the balance they told her was due. When I got home, I knew the balance paid was too high from what I was quoted, so I called the company and customer service told me they had charged me for 2 hours instead of the 1 hour I was quoted and that the local office would call me back. The local office never called back and I called their main number multiple times and they always said they would pass along the message to the local office. After a few weeks of not hearing back, I contacted my credit card and disputed the excess charge to them (I know it's around $100 overcharged, but I don't know the exact amount). The credit card company gave me a temporary $100 credit and said they would reach out to the company. I just noticed that on 9/7/23, my credit card company rebilled me that extra disputed amount that they initially had given me a credit for because they said the company provided support for the amount charged. The credit card company provided a copy of the receipt that was paid the day of service. But this amount was not the price that had been quoted to **** just called the main number to this company after realizing this and now they are telling me that the local office said I was refunded on 8/7/23. I do not see the refund in my account and this is contradicting the documentation from the credit card company on 9/7/23 saying that the company said what I paid was the correct amount.

They quoted me a $700 bill, yet now want $1525 to get my things to storage. It's College Hunks moving company, and I'm going to be pretty assertive with them tomorrow. They should have, based on their commitment, not even charged above the deposit I paid until the job was complete. Long story short, everything I own is in their possession and they refuse my calls.

The move went well. Afterwards, one of the employees misinformed me about the $95 hold. He told me multiple times it would go back to me. So I decided to tip more based on that information. Turns out, he was wrong. I tried for months to contact someone. They ignored me for the most part and acted like they would do something about it. Finally, 4 months later, their response is, "well, the employee is no longer working here."I guess that makes it ok that he lied and took a lot of my money.
