My Father is retired Air Force with 30 years of service that included a tour in *******. I read about the folks that started Hotel Tango and their story and loved the military tie. My Dad loves a good vodka martini every blue moon so I ordered him a bottle of Hotel Tango Vodka. My Dad lives in a condo with a concierge service that receives mail/packages (among other things). Last weekend, I asked my Dad if he had received the vodka I ordered and found out that he never had. I couldn't find the link to the company that shipped the vodka so I reached out to Hotel Tango's customer support. On Monday, I received a message from their customer support telling me that the company that shipped the vodka attempted to deliver it 3 times and I now had two options: pay $25 to reship the vodka or pay $20 to return the vodka (I paid $25 for the vodka and $15 for shipping initially - $40 total). I immediately responded to the message letting the customer service representative know that my Father's condo has a concierge that receives packages AND I had shipped many bottles of wine to my Father over the years without any issue. Additionally, I expressed that no one had ever called or messaged me to let me know of the issues the shipping company was having with delivery. Four days later and an additional email to customer services and I have not heard back. From a customer service perspective, this is incredibly frustrating. I feel like I have been completely ghosted and am being penalized because the shipping company that was used failed to deliver. Sharing this experience so that others can be aware when placing online orders.
