- Advertising Review:On July 14, 2022, BBB challenged advertising claims made by 5 Star Medicinal Products, LLP ("5 Star"). Specifically, BBB requested that the business substantiate claims that implied that CBD and CBD products may be a safe and effective treatment of a range of human health conditions. 5 star claims that "Research has shown positive effects when using CBD for anti inflammatory disease such as arthritis" and that "CBD oil may be helpful in managing pain, insomnia, anxiety, illness, ADHD, ADD and many other health conditions/diseases." This challenge was conducted pursuant to the BBB Code of Advertising, Section 1 - Basic Principles, and Section 34 - Claimed Results. As of August 3, 2022, the business has not responded to BBB requests. The case has been closed as unsubstantiated.
