On December 2, 2024, Devins Handyman *********** installed a new ** unit at my house. In less than two months of use, on August 16, 2025, warm air started blowing out of the ** instead of cold air. Devins employee would not come and look at it for several days and it was over 90 outside. A Union electrician replaced the capacitor, which is on the outer panel of the unit, to see if that was the problem because that is usually the first attempt to resolving warm air issues. He did not touch inside the unit or anywhere that he was not licensed to touch. It turns out that was not the problem. When Devins employee came, he said that the compressor was burned out. The part was under warranty, but ***** and his employee were charging me $900 to install the new compressor. ***** would not guarantee the work like other reputable HV** companies do. I also found out neither of them was licensed to do HV** work in *********** where I live. I had a licensed HV** person inspect the unit, and he found several leaks caused by improper installation not soldering the pipes as shouldve been done in any standard installation. These leaks caused the compressor to burn out. Because of the additional mistakes, I had to pay $1400 to have my air conditioner fixed by a qualified HV** technician. ***** would not send someone qualified to make the repairs at no charge before I hired someone, but on August 24, 2025, he said in a text that he would pay me back the $1400. (I had sent him videos and an explanation of the work done by the qualified HV** person.) His responding text said he would mail me a check that Monday morning. He never did. He promised to pay me in several subsequent texts as well, but he never has, even when I offered to let him pay my reimbursement a little at a time. Every time I ask him why he didnt drop off a check or mail a check as he said he would, he has an excuse. I just want him to guarantee his work and reimburse me for the mistakes that his employee made.

***** from *****'s HandyMan Services gave me a quote of $11,766.79 to remodel three of my bathrooms on 09/24/2024. I gave him a check for $6,000.00 on 10/14/2024 as a deposit. He started the work that day. On 11/05, he didn't show up - when I messaged him asking where he was, he responded saying his grandfather passed away but he would come back on 11/06. On 11/06 he again didn't show up. When I messaged him, he said his flight was delayed. I didn't hear back from him until 11/08 - he said his truck was in the shop but he would show up and finish the job. He apologized and said he would give us part of the money back until he was able to come back and finish. He stopped responding after that. I have called him multiple times a day to the 2 phone numbers that I have for him and the calls go straight to voicemail. I also have messaged him and he won't return any of my calls or respond to any of my messages. I bought 9 boxes of vinyl flooring for the three bathrooms - he used almost 7 boxes for 1 bathroom. I would like him to refund me the money for the jobs that he did not complete, for the flooring that I now have to buy more of to complete the other 2 bathrooms, and for part of the dumpster rental (I paid an extra $224.70 for the dumpster to sit there waiting for him to come back to finish the projects).
