Had 2 MRI'S this summer. Had my knee done at Franciscan Alliance. Had the other one (back) done in **********. My bill for back/spine MRI cost $1300.00. Franciscan Charged $4400.00 for my knee ? Called asking why over almost 3.5 times as much? Tried to negotiate. Told that was the price and i was stuck with a $800.00 out of pocket bill. $4400.00 for 45 minutes= $100.00 a minute. This was a scheduled appointment, not a emergency. Would not recomend going there.

Franciscan Alliance has changed how Doctors offices on Hospital Campuses charge their patients. If you have anything done outside a conversation with your doctor and Hospital will charge a hospital service charge. In June I saw my doctor because of pain in my foot. He gave some inserts for my shoe which was part of my visit. It was a small charge if any. I had brought new shoes after that visit and the inserts were to large. When I went back in August, doctor placed **** felt pads on the arch portion on my shoes original inserts. However between the 2 visits is when the billing change. So the Hospital service charge for these wool felt pads (I did not receive prescription orthotics) $566.00 dollars and after insurance a balance of $160.75 out of pocket.

I have been going to Franciscan (formerly St. James Hospital) since before my children were born. All of my Doctors are through Franciscan. The other day I received a bill from an appointment I had in May of 2023. My normal bill would be for a $20 copay, BUT NO, this bill was for $566.00 just to sit in an exam room and $30.00 for labs that were performed in the office. I have been going to this Doctor for years now and all of a sudden there is a "money grab" going on! I will now be charged for use of exam rooms and equipment, all of which was covered under my insurance and $20.00 copay. Please tell me how this is right??? This used to be a great Catholic place to be treated at. Now I have to find other Doctors that ARE NOT affiliated with Franciscan so I am not charged these exorbitant fees! All the Doctors I have had all my life and now under the "umbrella" of Franciscan Alliance, a money grabbing corporation. These people are concerned with their "bottom line" and NOT their patients. I will be doing my research and will be changing to other Doctors. I hope there are other patients of Franciscan Alliance who will follow me, get away from the "money grabbing" institution and "rain on their parade"!!!

I gave birth to my daughter on November 10th, 2021..& I have been complaining about major back pain ever since they failed at giving me the epidural. They tried to administer it for over one hour & failed. then I just got access to the medical notes and they had the nerve to put fraudulent information in the notes stating I didn't complain about back pain. that was not true. I now have a bad back and cannot sit up for anymore than **** minutes without massive back pain. I want to file a MAJOR COMPLAINT against the hospital and against the gentleman who failed at the epidural & the nurse who wrote the fraudulent notes (*****************************, CRNA). LOCATION IS ST JAMES HOSPITAL IN **************, **
