On 2/8/2025 Mr. ********************** visited my home stating that he had just sealed the parking lot of the Greenback ********** and noticed that my asphalt driveway looked like it needed to be sealed. He had sufficient sealant in his truck to seal my driveway and asked if I wanted it done for $1600.I called the Greenback Fire Chief to confirm that Mr. ********************** had indeed just sealed the fire ***** parking lot, I also asked if the Fire Chief knew him to be honest, provide a good product and service, and if his prices were fair. Fire Chief ****** **** did confirm all of those issues. I told Mr. ********************** I would be willing to pay $1400 but the driveway cracks also needed to be sealed. He agreed to the price but said he did not have the crack sealer and would return in May 2025 to apply it. He shook my hand. His crew sealed my driveway and I wrote a check for $1400 payable to **********************. In May of 2025 I phoned Mr. ********************** to set a date when he would fill the driveway cracks. He did not answer his phone *************). He never responded to my voice messages. I made no less than 15 calls to his phone. Subsequently I called the Better Business Bureau of ********* and learned of Mr. **********************'s past scams and was directed to complete a formal complaint.

James Sherlock and his crew sold me a sealant and crack fixing job for my driveway on August 18, 2023. The sales pitch was the material was coal tar emulsion and it was being chased out by the *** and they needed to use what they had. We agreed to $400 for the job and I was told the cracks would be fixed in two weeks. Two weeks came and went and I never heard from James Sherlock. I called several times, and each time I was told it would be another week. Then it would be in October. Then another week, and so on. It's been months and it's clear that James Sherlock, like others have stated, is a scam artist.

On 6-13-23, Like New Sealcoating/James Sherlock came and sealed our driveway with the promise of being back in the fall to repave it. We paid up-front for these services ******* learned). He has not been back and we have not been able to get a hold of him (wrong number listed on his invoice). Clearly, this was a scam. BEWARE of this individual/company.

We paid Like New Sealcoating (James Sherlock) $600.00 to sealcoat our driveway on August 7th, 2023. The same day he did the job, it rained for hours. Naturally, the sealcoat did not take entirely due to the rain. We contacted Mr. ********************** multiple times a week since August 7th, asking for him/his team to come re-touch our driveway to complete the job that we paid for in full. Per our receipt, the job is covered with a 10 year warranty on any defects that *** occur (Defects include cracking, sealer, and weather damage). He has committed to come fix our driveway several times and has never showed. It had reached that point that he was no longer responding to text messages or phone calls. Unfortunately, he has sealed several driveways in our immediate neighborhood and all of our neighbors are having the same issue of no contact and incomplete jobs. Essentially, we paid in full for a job that has yet to be completed and this business is now ignoring our outreach.
