I bought a vehicle from Auto Citi Sales on 2/22/2025. I have went less than 150 miles in the vehicle. I had the vehicle looked at (a week after) and oil leaks were found, brakes were placed on wrong, and suspension was out. On 3/6/2025 the vehicle was in the shop with multiple issues. I've asked if we could switch out vehicles or a refund due to all the issues. Suspension, brakes, oil leaks, and transmission being bad. They have expressed that they will not help or give a refund on the bad sale. They knowingly sold me a bad vehicle and are basically laughing at the situation. I told them I couldn't pay for a vehicle I don't have any haven't worked since I bought it. I would like a refund.

    RE: Complaint by ******** *******

Ms. **** ****** or Whom it May Concern,

Mr. ******* purchased a vehicle through our dealership 2/22/2025 along with a 3 month extended warranty.  On April 18th, nearly 10 weeks after the purchase, he contacted us to say he was having difficulty with the warranty company on a transmission repair, and he said he didnt think they wanted to fix the car and asked us for a full refund or to be traded into another vehicle at the same cost.

It turned out Mr. ******* had a balance due to the current repair shop of $592 for services he approved, and the warranty company was asking for an additional inspection at an actual transmission repair facility(with additional costs) before authorizing the replacement.  Both the original repair shop and the transmission believe the warranty will cover the replacement contrary to Mr.Calahans assertions.
Mr. ******* contacted us regarding Lemon Laws and his intent to file a complaint with the BBB if we did not cancel his deal and refund his money. He said he had already had some repairs done to the car and still owed $600 to the repair shop he was unwilling to pay.  We offered help every step of the way, and we even paid his $592 debt and the tow for the vehicle to the transmission shop where it sits as of today awaiting authorization for repairs.

Mr. ******* is now nonresponsive, and we are unsure of his intent pay his debts or take care of his responsibilities.

We appreciate your work and the work of the BBB in making our business community better for all customers.   Please let us know of anything further, and we look forward to the resolution of this complaint.

    Best Regards,

    Customer Answer

I am rejecting this response because:
I called their office on March 5th 2025 when the vehicle first entered the shop. I informed them of not being able to drive the vehicle. They FINALLY reached back out after I told them I wasn't going to pay until the car was fixed. I let the secretary know that I could not pay for a car that's been in the shop (messages shows) for 2 weeks at that time. ***** has said he would give me money back at first. But when the warranty company said the sale was fraudulent due to the many issues, they didn't want to pay. They asked for everything wrong due to the issues I fixed on my own. I've included showing the vehicle being in the shop on March 5th 2025. I let ***** know that he could do whatever he wants with the vehicle. I told him I didn't want the vehicle back and wanted a refund (whole or partial). I even asked to be switched into another vehicle, to remedy this situation. They wanted me to (which is where the warranty company and I believe they know the issues) take it to his friend's shop and add his repair to the contract.

    So in review

    1) informed them on March 5th

    2) They waited until April to reach back out

    3) I repaired many issues within the 12 days of having it.

    4) ***** said he would give back some money, he went back on this

    5) We believe they knew about it and wanted to add to the contract. To get more money

    6) They need to ensure going forward to sale good vehicles.

    7) I did reach out and told his to do what he wants with it.
