We had a slow drain in our shower. Contacted Bud's Plumbing on 11/7. They came out on 11/8 and said the problem was in the sewage line outside. Scheduled a digging for 11/9. They came out dug in our yard installed a clean out valve and augered the sewer line, $2069.77 cost. The next day the drain still wasn't draining. They came out and snaked the shower at no cost. They pulled out a tremendous amount of hair and the drain was working perfectly after that.

I called to complain about why they first went with the most expensive route costing us thousands of dollars vs a couple of hundred to snake the drain. They had no true answer. They stated I told them that sewage was coming into my shower which was NOT THE CASE at all.

They went to the most expensive thing they could do vs fixing the simple way first. I trusted their professional opinion which wasn't looking out for my best interest only looking to take more money from me.

They did refund $300 but in my opinion that isn't a fair refund since the job itself should have been less than $300 to begin with. They admitted they made a mistake but will not make it right. They screwed up, put words in my mouth saying that there was sewage coming up my drain and then had the audacity to say that I called them liars on the phone. Which those words never were spoken from my mouth.

******, Thank You for contacting the Better Business Bureau, Bud's Plumbing has been a supporting member for 30 plus years. Our Plumber recommended what he believed was the best solution for the washer and shower drain problem you were having. Once he was able to auger the main line backwards into the house he indicated he cleared a large amount of black sludge that flushed out of the line past the new cleanout he installed. As we discussed at length on the phone we are not able to see into the drain lines to know for certain where the issue or issues are exactly. We did return and clean the shower drain at no cost the following day. We believe this was a separate problem from the main drain line cleaned the day before. We provided a free estimate, and did not start the work until 24 hours later which gave them ample time to cancel if he thought we were proceeding in the wrong direction. I did review the cost and determined we were able to refund $300 . I am sorry they are not happy with the work. I believe had we proceeded with cleaning the branch drains first and then recommended a main line clean out, we would be having the same discussion as to why we didn't install the main line cleanout in the first place. Either way we proceeded would have been wrong in his mind.
