On January 6, 2023, I contacted Cider Mill Propane, Inc., for a quote for residential propane. I was given a quote and asked to schedule a delivery. I was told that it would be cash on delivery and to pay the driver cash when propane was delivered. I also explained my propane tank was low and we needed it especially w/medical issues w/in the residence. I was told they would contact me the morning of the day for delivery and someone would need to be there. On January 11, 2023, I called Cider Mill Propane, Inc. at 10:41am inquiring if they had a delivery date yet as my propane tank was now empty. I was told there was a 10 day lead time which I was not told on January 6. After no delivery or communication, Cider Mill Propane, Inc. was contacted again on January 18, 2023 asking for a delivery date. At that time ****** indicated that they had tried several times to call/attempt delivery and no one responded. When asked what day this occurred she said on January 11. There were no missed calls & she did not mention delivery when I called on the 11th. I was also told that it would be "cash on counter" delivery. I took the money to their office to pay. The price was more than originally quoted & I was told there would be another 10 day lead time. She gave me a receipt with the cash I paid but nothing indicating what it was for or signature. On January 19, I received a call at 3:26pm telling me that they were mailing me a check for the cash I paid. No explanation, nothing. I told them I would be there to get the CASH money I paid as I cannot wait for them to mail a check, I need propane and have limited income. I was told that if I came to their office, the Sheriff would be waiting and I would NOT get my cash back.
