      We saved money after switching from other supplement plans to WN and have had a phenomenal agent to help if we have questions. Im glad we went with a solid company that wont raise our rates drastically like most carriers.

      DO NOT DO BUSINESS with this unbelievably incompetent company! In 1988 my husband and I set up annuities with a reputable company, which after many years, unfortunately, ended up in the hands of Washington National. We retired early 2023. Together my husband and I signed payout contracts with *** and returned them both in the same envelope. My husbands yearly annuity payout arrived as contracted. Due to so many failures and mistakes by WNI, it took nearly 6 months to finally receive the correct amount of contracted funds I was to receive from my annuity. I spent countless hours on the phone with them, was lied to over and over, and no one I talked to had the power to make it right. I even sent a detailed letter to every branch of WNI. No reply. I consulted my lawyer who advised me to contact ********** insurance advocacy officials who had power. Fortunately they were successful. Now though, I am unable to properly complete our 2023 taxes as we are getting the run-around with our 1099R tax forms. Again, daily calls with long waits. They claim to have mailed them in January. Not true. They assure me when I call they resent them. Not true. They promise to fax them. They dont. Today, April 13, I still have nothing. The *** suggested options of ways I can deal with this on my taxes, all requiring a lot of extra work. This could have all been avoided. We have never before dealt with such a dysfunctional company and look forward to being rid of WNI - 3 more years.

      Ive had a policy with this company for 30 years. They always answer the phone very quickly and have always taken care of any issue efficiently, professionally, and with a very friendly knowledgeable customer service person.

      Truly amazing company. My entire family has this insurance. Recently one of my family members had to use the coverage. The agent came out that week to fill out a claim form and told them what they needed from the hospital. Thats some good service!! They got everything they needed and sent it in. Within 10 days they were receiving checks! From my whole familys experience I would highly recommend this company to everyone!!

      Washington National Insurance is hands down one of THE WORST companies out there. Their customer service is poor and management beyond poor. Their commitment is to money - not the public they claim to serve.I care for my parents who both had policies. They cancelled my Dads policy and when I called to speak with someone, I was told someone in management would contact me. That never happened. It is next to impossible to get someone who is both compassionate and competent.Their website is pathetic, as I was able to access it once. When I tried to get help, I was given a one time code to pay and that was it. Unless you are looking to be taken advantage of and like feeling as though you have been robbed, stay away from Washington National. I am hoping to find a way to get something done - but am feeling very discouraged at this point. My parents deserve so much better.

      Back on January 17th 2024, I received a letter in the mail from Washington National saying that im getting a check for ********. The first customer service agent said they never sent the letter. The second person I talked to said I'm not getting the check ** I cancelled my policy too early and it hadn't matured yet. And I would only be getting that check if stayed in longer. So again I'm not getting the check. Which is so frustrating when I got a letter saying I would be receiving the check in a separate envelope. I just want the money I was promised.

      I have ***** of ******** over my 101 year old mother's insurance policies and I have had no problems with all the insurance companies she has policies with except this one. I have sent the *** document to them multiple times but when I call them the customer service representative tells me that they don't have the complete document. I sent another one to them but I received a letter stating that I needed "Rights to Insurance". I sent a fax AND a letter to them highlighting where it clearly states I have rights to insurance. So I called again and the representative gave me the same response, (i.e. they don't have the complete document). I asked to speak to the people who are telling the rep this. She stated that it was coming from the "back office" but couldn't connect me with anyone. I then asked to speak with her supervisor. She kept telling me to send the complete document and I kept telling her she already has it. I then asked again for the supervisor's name but she wouldn't give me one. She informed me that a supervisor would call me within 48 hours but couldn't tell me who it would be. I said "Let's make this easy. Give me an email address and I'll send the document again for the third time'" She informed me that I can't send anything to them in an email. I then asked for the name of the President of the company. Again she stated she can't provide that information. I have never been so frustrated in all my life!!!!!

      Most unprofessional company I've ever dealt with! Canceled policy & still being charged. About to file dispute with **** & hire a lawyer if I have too.

      Dont bother. They intentionally drag their feet on claims so they dont have to pay you. Like asking medical records be MAILED but not paying the invoice to release the records. So they dont get released until I paid the invoice myself to get them the records after I sent them in anyway. I found out they didnt use their fax number to make it that much longer. I then get a letter saying they are closing the claim because they never got the records. Its like they intentionally do these things. Not worth it. Literally not one representative has done their job, Im doing it for them. If I could give negative stars I would. I will definitely be contacting the general attorneys office on this one

      My mother had an accident policy with this company since **** and has paid her premium on time every year. Recently I took over her finances and called the company to find out if they could send me a duplicate copy of the policies. They couldn't find her policy number and said she didn't exist in their system! I have copies of all her premium statements that she paid and the original policy document. They asked me to fax it to them (who uses a fax machine in the 21st century?!?) since they don't have an email address to give out to customers. The agent was very dismissive to me and turned it on me as if I was trying to get something unreasonable from them. To think I was just going to send a check in one more time! They have been cashing those checks every year despite there not being an account? Unbelievable!
