At the end of January 2023, I posted on ******** that I was looking for a company to help with building a fence, deck, and assembling a pergola purchased from Lowes. **** responded immediately and came out to assess what was needed to build as well as gave a price. He was able to assemble fence and deck in a timely manner in the first 2 weeks of February. When attempting to build pergola, he tried to have his son in which he had to coach to get on the ladder and his son fell of the ladder. His son stated he was scared to be on the ladder several times. After his son fell of the ladder, he stated the pergola was too dangerous to continue to assemble so left mid assembly. **** did refund $600 for not finishing the pergola however this was not the total price of the pergola. In total after he paid back $600, the project of pergola, fence, and deck cost $13,951 The day after they left in the middle of the project, there was a storm with high winds that rattled the pergola and caused parts to come off the pergola inches away from coming through a window. Two months later when the landscaper was laying sod, he noticed the deck was sinking. I reached back out again on ******** to have a construction company that completed decks (*******************) assess the situation. He assessed the situation and noted that the deck was placed on plastic footers which have sunk into the ground because posts were not cemented into ground. *** had to add *********** which were cemented into ground to support the deck. This corrected the problem but cost me an additional $2500 to fix the issue. I am seeking a refund of at least $2500 as additional funds were needed to fix an issue which should not have been an issue. I attached photos to show the difference on each end of the deck and how it slopes down on both sides for reference. This was only 2.5 months after installation occurred.
