5/26 I got a text that Law had a 16 Acadia w 103,000mi, 3rd row seats & $12,990. I went in, had them value my trade, and test drove the Acadia. I got back to the dealership and my husband asked me to check the fluids. sales guy came out, raised the hood, and let me know it needed an oil change. I told him that I’d researched issues with this year/make/model and trans problems seem to be prevalent. He told me they’ve sold many Traverses with the same setup and they’re fine. discussed tire pressure sensor light, closed the hood & went inside to work the deal.Considering the service I’d had in the past, a mechanic husband, the price of the vehicle, the conversation with sales, and a 117 point check on all of their used vehicles before being put up for sale, I declined the $3000+ warranty. We finished paperwork, salesman made me an appt to get tire pressure sensor fixed & oil change. Before I got home, the vehicle started to shudder. I text the salesman and they got me in for service. I got it back and same issue. Told by dealership it could take 500 mi for the flush to do its job. Its 7/13 and the Acadia has been back in the shop twice more, both for long periods of time.On 7/3, I emailed svc mgr to let him know I’d like to explore options and possibly get out of the Acadia without any extra negative equity. I was first told the Acadia would be paid off if I traded it in for something else. Later, I was told I’d be given $10,000 for it as a “trade-in” value. During an in-person meeting with the sales manager and my husband, I was offered $12,000 for it as long as I let Law handle my financing on a different vehicle. If I were to handle my own financing, they wouldn’t be able to “make me a deal.” When I left on 7/8, the sales mgr was going to work w the service mgr to see if GM would cover the torque converter costs. They’d be in contact. Yesterday, I asked for an update. I was told that GM is willing to cover most of the repair but now Law wants me to cover half of it
