I purchased a deep freezer from ********** in July of 2024. The light went out and now the cooling system. I opened up a claim against Magic Chef. Now they are not trying to replace it and being very difficult.Initial Complaint

Purchased a Magic Chef branded dual-temperature beverage and wine cooler from **********. Although not a top brand, and several other more known and reasonably priced coolers were available, I decided to give an **************** a chance as from the brief look of it, it seemed to be of quality. However, not long after, the motor unit began to make a loud, harsh buzzing noise. On top of that, the handle which goes from the top of the door all the way to the bottom is attached to the door with two odd-shaped pieces which cannot be replaced from purchasing anywhere due to their unique and odd shape. Both of these pieces bewgan to rust and eroded, causing the handle to fall off and no longer usable.When searching for a replacement part, I came across several other consumers who owned this specific model, all of whom were experiencing the exact same issue as myself, all of whom had tried to find replacement parts to no avail, all who contacted Magic Chef's parent company to request/order replacement parts, all to no avail. It is evident that across the country consumers are experiencing these same issues, which is obviously a defect in manufacturing. Not only are you not making replacement parts available for consumers, you are not even answering their concerns and/or attempting to find a solution to these ridiculous issues. Having paid much more for this unit as compared to other brands at the time, either send us the replacement parts and/or remedy the issues, or refund each consumer for the total amount paid as you obviously have made a defective product that is not repairable. After several attempts at contacting corporate directly with absolutely no success, I am considering taking other action for the principle of the matter.Initial Complaint

I bought this ice maker model HNIM27ST a little over a year ago and it has been a lot of work to keep it clean. It gets mold inside of it everywhere and needs to be emptied and cleaned every week. I run cleaning solvent through it each week and it still gets filth and mold inside. It also leaks carbon particles and silver chips from the coating on the pegs that make ice and they end up in the bottom of the water reservoir. It has multiple stains on the inside as well. In the past few weeks it has stopped making ice altogether. It is a piece of junk and has been more trouble than it is worth.Initial Complaint

I bought a Magic Chef 7.0 cu. ft. chest freezer from ********** on April 19, 2023, for $314. It was delivered to my home the next day, on April 20. Unfortunately, the freezer stopped working in November 2023. I reached out to MCA Corporation for service, but despite multiple attempts, they failed to fix the problem, leaving me with an unusable freezer.When I tried to return the freezer to *********** they incorrectly claimed that it had not been delivered to my house, which led to a delay in the return process. This mix-up caused me to miss the return deadline in April. The purchase was made on a credit card, and this situation has since affected my credit.Despite all my efforts to resolve the issue by contacting both ********** and MCA Corporation, the freezer remains non-functional, and I am now stuck with a $300 appliance that doesnt work.Potential Legal Issues: Breach of Warranty: The freezer failed within a few months, which could be considered a breach of the implied warranty of merchantability. Failure to Honor Warranty: MCA Corporation did not properly address the issue, leaving me without a functional product. Deceptive Practices: **********s incorrect information about the delivery status led to a delay in processing my return, which could be seen as a deceptive practice. Return Process Mishandling: Due to the confusion caused by **********, I missed the return deadline, resulting in financial loss. Purchased this new machine on March 10, the day it was delivered, it does not work properly. I called their customer service number and was given a case number, told to provide my proof of purchase and a tech would reach out in 2 business days. I have heard nothing and it's now March 26th. I called again a few days ago and they said they were sending me a part, but they had no tracking for the part and still no contact by a repair tech. This was a brand new item and a $300 item!! No customer service, I want a refund for this item and for them to pay the return costs. Please advise. The repair case number they gave me was ******. The lady over the phone in February told us we can donate it to a recycling center. It seems like they have unethical business practices and are trying to not take care of a junk product. Request Refund of $233.14 or a new deep freezer. I can send pictures of the damage it did to my garage floor as well from rotten food that leaked all over my floor. 9/2022 purchased Magic Chef Portable Washer 1.6 through ******* online.A few months after purchase, it started making a slight knocking sound as the tub would move back and forth. A few days later, the knocking got louder and louder, but the washer still functioned, otherwise. In May, 2023, the control board started malfunctioning, stuck on "bulky" only. Still knocking loudly....I can hear it outside my apartment. I called Magic Chef, who scheduled an appointment for repair. Two weeks later, the repair man arrived to evaluate my situation. At that time, he determined it would cost more to repair the machine than it cost to purchase it. He felt Magic Chef would likely replace it. Two weeks later I discover Magic Chef sent an incorrect part, which had to be reordered. Two weeks later I talk to Magic Chef supervisor....still no repair. Finally, TWO MONTHS AFTER REQUESTING SERVICE; repair man replaces the control board. After spending 30 minutes tearing apart the bottom of the machine, he discovers that the part he needs to replace is actually GLUED TO THE BOTTOM OF THE **** Impossible to replace, without replacing the whole tub. He also discovered the broken off end of a drill bit inside the hole, below one of the bolts he removed. How did THAT get there? What now? Next day I get an e-mail from MC telling me to cut the cord and either take a picture or mail it to them at my expense. They will then refund the purchase price, but not the sales tax. Also, it will be necessary for me, a senior disabled woman, to arrange and pay for the haul away of a piece of c*** I am waiting for a response to my e-mail sent today. I will never purchase anything made by Magic Chef again. Horrible customer service/response. Shame on **********************.Initial Complaint

I bought a ** Refrigerator about 14 months ago. The refrig, quit working, I contacted MC CS, and was told I was more or less out of luck because the appliance was 2 months past the warrenty
