      My ** wasn't cooling my house so I filed a complaint with my warranty American Home Shield (AHS) on 9/20/22 to have someone come and repair my **, and they assigned Home Guard. My Dispatch #*********. The contractor Home Guard was not responsive for 2 days despite multiple calls. Finally I hear back from Home Guard on 9/22 so he sends his technician to repair my ** on 9/22. The technician comes and within 5 minutes he tells us that he doesn't have the keys or the apparatus to open the refrigerant/coolant box to look at how much refrigerant is remaining. So he will contact the ** manufacturer to get keys and come back later. I called them again the next day on 9/23 and was told by the owner of Home Guard that the manufacturer stopped making keys for our ** so they technician will come back today and try to open the lock with a magnet. The tech comes back on 9/23 and again within 5 minutes he tells us that he broke the lock/valve by applying too much pressure on it and now there is a refrigerant leak in the system, so he will have to replace the entire condenser unit (which I googled costs at least **** to ****). Even the tech himself submitted a request to AHS stating "Manufacture locking caps that were discontinued and wrong for unit, tech was unable to diag pressures and get read on unit, bent core valve trying to take caps off. causing a leak in system." After many calls, I received an email from AHS that they agreed to pay for condenser but they haven't heard from Home Guard about what part needs to be ordered. I have made multiple calls and emailed Home Guard to find out what's going on with no response. Both AHS and Home Guard should be responsible for paying for damages caused by their technician to my **. This business is unprofessional and a total scam. IF AHS ASSIGNS HOME GUARD AS YOUR CONTR**TOR, RUN AWAY AS FAST AS YOU CAN BECAUSE THEY WILL NOT REPAIR BUT INSTEAD BREAK YOUR APPLIANCE.
