We are filing this **mplaint with a VERY heavy heart. We really like the Dr in the ********** office a lot but our frustration with the office staff in that office has prompted this **mplaint. We wanted to use our end of 2022 cleanings on our insurance but the ********** office was unable to ac**mmodate us. They cancelled the appointment on the day we were scheduled, so we opted to go into the Wheaton office on December 27th for our cleanings. We checked and triple checked in writing via text with the ********** office to make certain our cleanings were one hundred percent **vered by our insurance **mpanies. We were assured at least two or three times by the ********** office that our cleanings were **mpletely **vered by insurance. We also had the hygienist check before leaving the Wheaton office to make sure our cleanings and brief exam that we didn't make the appointment for but apparently came with the cleanings, were **vered by insurance. We were told right before we left the Wheaton office that yes, they were **vered and we didn't owe anything. a few weeks later we got a bill for the services. We immediately questioned this error, since we were told numerous times the cleanings and exam were **vered by insurance. The ********** office upon receiving the proof from us via text that they assured us a few times that the services were **vered by insurance and we had no ** pay, admitted their mistake. They said they do not accept ********************* insurance. They should have checked this BEFORE assuring and reassuring us that the services were **mpletely **vered by insurance. *** had used a Groupon at their offices prior. They backed down, offered us a fifty nine dollar price on his services. That is better than the higher amount they tried for but it is still charging us for their error. We told them this, the ********** office never responded to our most recent email. We THEN received a bill from Wheaton office, they also told us the day of the service we owed nothing.

    Hello Mr and **************,

We saw both of you on Dec 29th. We billed the insurance for ********************* and we were paid for her cleaning. We have not received any payment for Wesleys cleaning because he does not have insurance. He has ******** which we have never taken. Ultimately, it is up to the patient to make sure they choose a dentist that takes their insurance.  Regardless, we have waived the bill for ***************** ultimately he received a free dental exam and cleaning. Going forward, if he chooses to be seen in any Smile Obsession dental practice, he will have to pay for his services.

    Thank ********************** manager)

Had #9 tooth extracted, a bone graph done, a temporary bridge put in no pain no pressure no problems. the original dr left the office practice with no warning to me he was leaving and put my mouth into the hands of another dentist that knew nothing about me. new dr put the new bridge in I was numb didn't feel anything, $2500 put of pocket. the day after I went back there, I talk with a lisp I never had before, I have pressure under my nose from the 3 front teeth involved (new bridge) and sever sensitivity. I was told after the fact I will have to floss under the bridge for life never was told that before all procedures, told to ban aide the sensitivity by using Sensodyne tooth paste for life to ban aide the problem, when I felt nothing before! To this day the pressure is still there, and they sent me to another one of (their drs)to again ban aide the problem, then proceeded to say a root canal in the sensitive teeth could be an option, NOT AN OPTION more money! The main office girls are rude they play games they gave me the run around, hang up on me will not take phone calls no more from me. they took $795 off my bill thinking I will let this go, no one takes money off a bill unless you know something is wrong in hopes I will pay the remainder and walk away! I want all my money back so I can go to a new dentist and get this fix and relieve the pressure and the sensitivity, I should not feel anything in my mouth! no pressure and definitely no sensitivity, I hit the roof when air hits the teeth, water, or food all Temperature hit the teeth under my new bridge that should not be happening ever! I want all my money back they gave me some back I wonder why, and you should too!! Had I known this was corporate owned I would of never went there, dentists fresh out of school, No Way I would of gone there!!! Bad corporate run practice! Sincerely ***********************, here's there #Smile obsessions *************
