1 starMy car was repossessed on July 9th. I paid to get my car out on July 9th and set and appointment to get my car out at 130 July 10th. Come to find out everything was already taken out and had writing all over my car. Beyond that being frustrating, the expect you to go over all your inventory in a small space and make sure you hurry up *** sign that everything was accounted for. It wasn't until I got in my car when I realized my headphones were missing. I had a pair of beats ($290) in my center console at the time the vehicle was taken. On top of that, I had $45 in my change compartment in cash. I called the company 10 minutes after leaving the place, and the girls replied , well did you sign the paper ? I said yes, she said then there's nothing I can do for you. What a shady a** business you guys run. And from the looks of it, there's multiple people with the same theft issue. Clearly you guys aren't doing right by the community and by your customers. You guys should be held accountable for the amount of theft there has been. Its disgusting how badly you treat your customers.IAA

Good Morning ****** ****,Thank you for taking the time to share your concerns with the ************** Team. We understand how frustrating it can be to feel like your personal belongings were not properly accounted for, and we truly empathize with your situation. After a thorough review and investigation, we found that the only items removed from the vehicle were those listed on the inventory log you signed. These were the only belongings documented during the check-in process at our facility. Please note that, according to our records, the vehicle was repossessed and brought to our facility on July 9th. It was then released to the provider, ********, on July 10th. Given the nature of the situation, we strongly recommend that you reach out directly to TitleMax with any additional concerns, as they may be able to provide further information. We hope this helps clarify the matter, and we're here if you have any other questions.Thank you **** ************* SupervisorReview fromDaniel P

1 starKnow that you are f**ked if IAA ends up handling your claim. I got rear-ended in a total loss collision nearly a month ago and my bank has still not received payment. Im unable to purchase a new vehicle until my car is paid off and now the insurance company wont pay for the rental anymore so I have to pay out-of-pocket because they took so long. Turns out you do still end up the loser in a read-end accident if IAA is handling the claim. **************** was unhelpful in getting more insight into why the claim was taking so long. It seems the department managing paperwork and reaching out to different entities is full of lazy, good for nothings.TLDR: IAA process claims so slow it will cost you. Dont expect their customer service to be of any assistance either.IAA

Good ****************** ****,
Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback. Were truly sorry to hear about your recent experience and understand how frustrating and stressful this situation must be for you.
Wed like to clarify that IAA is not an insurance company. We are an auction house that facilitates the sale of vehicles, typically on behalf of insurance carriers after they have processed claims. As such, we are not involved in the claims handling, rental coverage, or payout decisions related to your accident. Those matters are handled solely by your insurance provider.
If your vehicle was assigned to IAA by your insurance company, it would have been after they deemed it a total loss and transferred it to us for auction. We encourage you to reach back out to your insurance provider for any updates or concerns related to the claim status, payment to your bank, or rental reimbursement.
That said, we do appreciate you bringing this to our attention. We will review any interactions you had with our customer service team to ensure our standards of professionalism and courtesy are consistently met.
Please dont hesitate to reach out if you have any specific concerns related to the vehicle sale process or if there's anything we can do to assist you further in that regard.Review fromShawn J

Good ************************ you for submitting your inquiry to ************** through the portal. After a thorough review, we can confirm that the communication you received regarding the attempted payment from your ****** account indicated that the transaction was declined. IAA did not receive any funds, as the system did not process the payment successfully. Our agents correctly advised you to reach out to ****** for further clarification.Per IAA policywhich was acknowledged during your registrationbranches have the authority to remove a vehicle from an account if payment is not received within 7 days. Since the funds were not received, the branch acted in accordance with this policy. We understand that you have mentioned involving your legal team. Please be advised that we have also shared this information with our legal department for their awareness. If you have any additional questions or require further assistance, please dont hesitate to contact us.Thank You,Review fromDylan D

1 starYeah if you ever get towed, for gods sake stay with your vehicle or make sure you have all your personal out of the car because these b******* will throw out ALL of your personal belongings without a second thought. 1 starI am a Licensed Business Dealer and have been using IAA for vehicle purchases. BUT, this last purchase has left an aweful taste in my mouth. I followed their "Step by Step" instructions to pay in branch with a cashiers check, but because the check did not have "Remitter" wording on the check, the ******* branch would not accept payment. Yet, all the information that the "Step by Step" instructions requested, were on the check. Keep in mind, I just took a flight in from 1400 miles away and had a rental car to get from *** to **************, with an $87,000 cashiers check (Drawn on a *************** CU) to pay and pickup an RV to drive it to *******. At that time I was floored that ******* the ** WOULD NOT accept the cashiers check even though all requested info was on the check. AMAZING. So, as I drove the rental car to ****** AZ branch to make the payment, This branch understood that banks/ credit unions have different verbage on their cashiers checks, and processed my payment. Of course I had to drive 400 miles back to ********** to complete the pickup along with now having to pay a $50 one day storage charge. The biggest piece in this whole situation was that as of Feb 17th 2025 The IAA phone line is none existant!! NO TALKING TO A CUSTOMER SERVICE *** ANYMORE!! Members are now forced to CHAT! So if you are a **** and pecking type of person on a keyboard, patience will be needed. THIS IS THE WORST IDEA EVER! As I chatted with a ***, they stated that the "Remitter" mandate was introduced back in August 2023?? Hmmmmm, why wasn't it placed in the "Step by Step" instructions for in branch payment. This is where COMMON SENSE wins out with this circumstance. In addition, Now IAA has placed my Licensed Business Dealer Account inactive!! One Rep stated that because of the HIGH unpaid bid was the cause. The other *** says that my Business License was expired and to resubmit my License. Interesting, since I submitted this update back in Dec 20th 2024 and it was approved.Review fromDan N

1 starI have used this service for a few years and lately the customer service has been very poor on a corporate level. In the last two auctions, i have been the high bidder (#******) at end of the bidding process, both before on the block auction and at the end of on the block auction. At both times, it was shown on the screen shot that car was sold for my high bid, yet after auction the car was not shown to be sold to me. I was also not notified that i was overbid and the car was not rescheduled for another auction.I talked to a representative at the branch level, and they couldn't figure out why i was not awarded the bid in both instances and referred me to the corporate office. I filed two different cases, which were closed without anyone talking to me. I tried calling and was put on hold for over an hour both times and finally give up. Finally, last Saturday, Feb. 8, i was able to talk to a representative who started another case #********. Today, Feb 12, i started a chat with a company representative about the case submitted. After waiting 40 minutes i was able to chat with a representative. After explaining the situation, the representative stated the seller can decide who buys the vehicle and i was probably overbid. When i mentioned the usual company policy of being notified that i was not the high bidder and then that the web site showed i was not overbid and in fact the web site showed i had lost by $0, the company representative closed the chat. When I tried logging on with the case number, it was shown that the case had been closed. I won't be paying for another year of being able to bid as it seems being high bidder on a vehicle is not always the case and the company can make excuses of why a car is not awarded to the highest bidder. Also, the customer service department is rude and nonexistent.IAA

Good *************************** you for taking the time to submit your claim. After further review, the agent provided the correct information. Please remember we are an auction house, and the final bids are submitted for approval from the seller. They can reject or accept any offer with or without notification. I am sorry to hear that you are having a hard time connecting with a member of our team, but unfortunately, we are currently experiencing a high volume of calls and chats. We appreciate your patience when connecting with them. Please take a moment to read the auction rules that where accepted by you when registering with us here at IAA. **************************************************** Thank you, *************Review fromTimothy C
