On February *******, I purchased a ******* MkT from this company. Three days later the vehicle started to smoke and had no signs of issues until the incident happened. We sent the vehicle back to the company because it was not over three days since we had the vehicle and we paid for the vehicle full price. The business fixed the vehicle and tried charging us for the cost which in ********* we have the lemon law. After this I went to the *** wit the title and the title still has a lien on it from previous owner. The dealership act as if they do not want to fix the title or send a new title. I have major concerns about this company because it seems to be fraudulent to give someone a vehicle that had issues and it was stated that it had no issues and to also give a title that is not correctly done through the ***. I would like for this company to be looked into so that this hassle is not on their next customer for business.

    Customer Name: Kashekia ****
    Vehicle VIN: *****************
    Year/Make/Model: 2012 ******* MKT
    Mileage at ********: 151,314
    Purchase Date: February 20, 2025

Thank you for the opportunity to respond to Ms. ****** concerns.

The vehicle purchased by Ms. **** was a 2012 ******* MKT with over ******* miles at the time of sale. As per Illinois law, vehicles sold with more than ******* miles are not covered under the state's implied warranty requirements. This information was disclosed at the time of sale.

As a gesture of goodwill and commitment to customer service, Your ********************** Autos voluntarily assisted Ms. **** with a repair shortly after the purchase. We value our customers and made this effort to support her experience.

Regarding the vehicle title, we provided Ms. **** with the most recent and valid title, which included a properly released lien, complete with the required signature and date stamp from the lienholder.

However, we understand that Ms. **** attempted to register the vehicle online and accidentally submitted the application using the previous owner's name. As a result, the title was issued under the prior owner and delivered to the previous owner's address, which caused confusion and made it appear that the title was not updated.

To resolve this, we have applied for an updated title so that Ms. **** can successfully register the vehicle under her name.

At Your Choice Autos, we strive to provide excellent service and clear communication. We believe we have taken appropriate and prompt steps to resolve the customer's concerns and remain committed to ensuring customer satisfaction.

    Sincerely,
    Your Choice Autos

I am rejecting this response because: my issue has not been resolved. I was told that my title would be in last week and was told the same thing on Thursday of this week. I am not sure why this is happening. Thank you for your time.

RE: Response to Concerns Raised by Ms. ********** Whom It May Concern,
Thank you for the opportunity to respond to the concerns raised by Ms. ************ **** purchased a 2012 ******* MKT with over ******* miles at the time of sale. Under Illinois law, vehicles with mileage exceeding ******* are not subject to the states implied warranty provisions. This condition was properly disclosed and acknowledged at the time of purchase.
As part of our commitment to customer service, Your ********************** Autos voluntarily assisted Ms. **** with a repair shortly after her purchase, despite the vehicle being sold as-is. We took this step as a gesture of goodwill and to ensure a positive customer experience.
Regarding the vehicle title, the original title provided to Ms. **** was valid and included a properly released lien, signed and dated by the lienholder. Unfortunately, Ms. **** mistakenly submitted her registration application using the prior owners information, which resulted in the new title being issued incorrectly and mailed to the previous owner's address.
We want to clarify that Your Choice Autos is not at fault in this matter, as the error occurred during the customer's registration process. Nevertheless, to assist in resolving the situation, we applied for an updated title to ensure the vehicle can be correctly registered in Ms. ***** name.
We are pleased to inform you that the updated title has been received and is now available for Ms. **** to pick up at our ******** location. We have made several attempts to contact her regarding the title pickup but have unfortunately been unsuccessful in reaching her.
Ms. **** is welcome to contact us at ************ to arrange for the collection of her title. A copy of the updated title is attached for reference.
Your Choice Autos has taken all reasonable and necessary steps to ensure a smooth and satisfactory resolution. We remain committed to providing professional service and assisting customers to the best of our ability.
    Sincerely,
    Your Choice Autos

I purchased a 2019 Forward Transit on September 13 2024 within one week of getting the vehicle. I spoke with the service manager and brought the vehicle back to your choice auto to be serviced on September 28 2024. I was told the breaks had been changed and just needed to be oil but they had to change the wheel bearing. I noticed a couple weeks later I still heard and felt the breaks tighten and heard a squeaking sound. I reached out again to service manager ***** October 11th with no answer on the phone number given so I called and spoke with someone on October 16th I explained the issue and was told to bring the vehicle in for service to look at. However due to work I need to bring the vehicle in on a saturday and was told by Your Choice out that is not a good day for service to them having auto auctions. I on October 22nd explained the vehicle was shaking badly and I needed to bring it in. They keep the vehicle to look at from 22nd -26th. They explained to me that I had to now take it to a **** dealer because the issue was out of their control. I was told I bought the vehicle as is and if it needs a motor/ engine I am responsible for the repairs. The staff was extremely rude. Honestly as I look back on the day I signed the contract they never told me this vehicle I put down money for and finances the remanding was sold as is. nor did they tell me of any issues. I went home and looked over my paperwork and noticed the paper that states {AS IS } was given to me after I signed everything in a folder. I asked the Finance officer why they didn't offer a warranty. He stated to me that it was my responsibility to look into that with a third party. I took the vehicle as they said to a **** dealer to get more answer and was told this issue is mechanical and could coast anywhere from $5,000 to $10,000

I have been in the market for a car recently and came across one that was being sold from Your Choice Autos in Waukagen, IL. The trip from where I live is about 4.5 hours so after being approved for the loan we made an agreement to hold the car until I had available time to travel. The holding deposit was $1,000, to which the car was held for a few days. After making the trip to Waukagen I asked to test drive the car. I came to learn that the steering column made prevalent noises when turning and there were clunking sounds coming from the suspension when driving. The car was assumably not in great driving condition, and the cost to fix the potential problems were not the worth the risk involved in buying it. I made the choice not to buy the car and called for a refund due to the misrepresentation (representation being decent driving condition) of their sale. The dealership assured me my deposit would be refunded within 5-7 days from the date of October 16th, 2023. I made a second call on October 31st because the deposit had not yet been refunded, to which the dealership again assured me it may take 5-7 days and that I should wait longer. As of November 8th, 23 days from the date of the refund, I have not received any deposit back. My bank has informed me that there is no refund currently being processed.

3/8/2023: Sent inquiry to dealer regarding a 2016 *** ProMaster they had listed for sale. - Dealer responds requesting me to call in and schedule a test drive and sends the CarFax Report. - CarFax report shows 2 open and potentially dangerous recalls on the vehicle. - I respond looking to see if the recalls had been addresses or not. - The manager was consulted about the recall repairs and claims that they were fixed, which was a lie. 3/11/2023: Test drive is completed at the dealership. Check engine light is on and they have their mechanics scan the code. Mechanics claim the code was a historical engine code that was just simply stored in the system and that nothing was wrong. - I decided to purchase the vehicle (for $22,800) since the test drive went fine and there did not appear to be any major problems. 3/13/2023: Vehicle is dropped off at the *** dealership to have the recalls fixed. Upon inspection, numerous other engine issues were uncovered and will cost over $7,000 to repair. 3/14/2023: I attempted to seek recourse with the YourChoiceAutos and they refuse to admit that they knew about the engine issues and also claim they can not fix any internal engine problems. They put a bandaid fix on the vehicle out of deceptive intentions and refuse to accept any responsibility.

On November 12th 2022, I leased a vehicle from your choice auto sales in ********, **. The warranty included read to last 15 days or 500 miles. ****** the first 2 days after taking the vehicle home I noticed that my brakes began to squeak and the latch on my tailgate was not always releasing to be opened. I informed the dealer of this and they said they would look into it when I came to pick up my new temporary licence plates. When I went to pick up the plates, they did inspect the vehicle and said they would order the parts for repair and let me know when to come back. After a few more days the check engine light lit on my dashboard. I called the dealer back to check on the parts and had been informed they had not come in yet. I also informed them of the check engine light. I was met with short annoyed conversation. Every couple days after that I would text the sales rep who serviced me and he kept telling me that he would talk to the mechanic, or he would call me back and let me know, or he would try to get me an appointment. Nothing ever came to fruition. I still have not been contacted.

I am rejecting this response because:

*************** to the businesses services as dissatisfied. I took my truck in to have the services I indicated performed. The brakes were repaired and my trunk latch was as well. It appeared that the issues regarding my check engine light were fixed too. However 3 days ago my check engine light came on again and I had it scanned. The scan showed that the check engine light lit due to the same issue as before. I have signed paperwork certifying that the business fixed all the issues with my truck but apparently not. I believe they just turned the check engine light off and gave me back my vehicle anyway.

In response to complaint.  Your Choice Auto Sales had the vehicle back to repair the brakes and latch.  At the time of the vehicle being serviced there were no check engine light on the vehicle.  The customer stated that it came on suddenly but went away after driving the vehicle before bringing it back to us.  Our mechanics were not able to bring up any codes when they scanned the vehicle as there were no present codes at the time.  No check engine light on the vehicle when in service with us as mentioned in complaint.  **** did mention the vehicle is running well.

Your Choice did brakes and latch in good faith as they were not covered by implied warranty and have a happy customer.

    Complaint: 18533501

I am rejecting this response because: though the check engine light had gone out by the time the vehicle was serviced, it did still come on initially. Even if there were no codes at that time an engine inspection could have been performed to possibly prevent this light from engaging again.

    Sincerely,
