Located in the downtown area of Waukegan Illinois, we are directly across the street from the Lake County Courthouse. Our mission is to empower those facing legal challenges with compassion, knowledge, and innovative solutions to resolve your case. The firm's practice focuses on criminal defense, civil rights litigation and family law (with an emphasis on father's rights). Our presence is in Lake, Cook, McHenry, Kane, DuPage and surrounding counties.
The firm was founded by partners LaTonya Burton and Renea Amen. It was created on the premise that everyone should have access to high quality, compassionate, innovative, and fair legal representation. The attorneys of the Bur-Men Law Group are experienced trial attorneys who firmly believe that “If the State tries to take your freedom, they will have to work for it.” Based on that philosophy we believe that it is imperative to strategize with our clients and develop a defense that is in their best interest.
