I took the time to write this because I felt it was deserved and the right thing to do. All to often people are very quick to b**** and complain but not nearly as diligent in giving credit where credit is due. Ok, here goes- I purchased a used Maserati from Ultimo, site-site unseen, using only the web pictures, descriptions and the sales persons word. The car arrived via closed carrier (I paid for) It was accurately described looked great, of course had some paint dings and minor wear. Its a used car for goodness sake and had a few paint dings etc. and very minor wear on interior. Well, after taking it to my local exotic shop for a good going-through. A couple of problems were discovered, I will tell you what they were, a tie rod bushing and the right headlight was not moving as it should when steering wheel was turned, other than that the car was in excellent shape. Both problems, in fairness could have easily not been picked up by the dealer so I really didnt have any feeling that they tried to mislead. All and any repairs on an exotic are mucho-expensive and even though, not intentional on their part, it was more than a few bucks. I called Ultimo, explained what was discovered, I immediately was told by the salesman, to send pictures we wont leave you hanging was the response. I sent the photos from repair shop and the invoice and Dex sent me a check for the repairs since they were safety issues. Now, when you buy a used car, you sign a document that says As Is with no implied warranties other than the car is as described. My point in sharing that is that this could have easily been a debate and a nightmare for me, one I would have had less than a 50% chance of prevailing if they were inclined to do business that way. They are stand-up guys and deserve for people to hear my testimonial.
