On 1/192024 the office called me to ask for a dental balanced past do amount of ***** plus. Stated that none of the past procedures that have been done to my son from two tooth extractions, 1 cleaning, and several orthodontist visits were never covered. From the time I came to the office I was asked for a deductible two times. 1 time I was told they made a mistake and overcharged me and I did not have a balance. They told me the insurance fully covered my sons orthodontist braces. I had not heard from the office for a payment on any of his last 3 visits. I was brought up to the news a few weeks ago and was told that I had a past do, because I had missed co-payments. I asked why during the visits was I never told this. The office attendant apologized and said she was not sure and took a partial payment of $260 on January 2nd. She said she would research it, now today I was told I need to pay half of 2k to have my son seen on his apt for this coming Tuesday. I let the office financial manager know my situation. She then stated my recent insurance card that was given to them today was accepted by them, later called and said it was not. I did update my insurance card because we made a work transfer and the insurance transferred. The most frustrating part is the miscommunication with whats covered. The miscommunication around the overpayment and not a surprise bill. The office takes no accountability
