September 2022, I took my vehicle to Bockman's Auto Care to get my check engine light address. I was informed that my Catalytic Converter was the cause of the engine light and that 2 catalytic converters and my turbo lines would have to be replaced. This job cost me $3981.45, although when I left, the Check Engine light was still on- I was told "the new catalytic converter will not hold the new programming, you might have to take it to a dealership for reprogramming". July 2023, I had further engine trouble, mind you, the check engine light has been on for the Catalytic Converter the entire time. Since I had to take it to a dealership (the closest shop to me, and a trusted one with the family) I mentioned the programming issue to the advisor. Upon inspection of the vehicle, the technician found that the Catalytic Converters on my vehicle are still the original ones from the factory-based on the part number, and have never been replaced. We made contact with ********************* about the issue, he had me get photos sent to him from Uftring as well as from ****** *************** of his sister stores. And then offered to do a warranty replacement of the parts since they seem to have failed already. The factory catalytic converters from GM have been discontinued, there is no possible way for those parts to have been replaced on my vehicle, and yet I was charged for the work anyways. Not to mention the work I missed, and the stress and emotional turmoil of having been taken advantage of, ****************** cannot provide warranty work on my vehicle because the parts I was charged for that would have the warranty are NOT on my vehicle. I would not let anyone from his business touch my vehicle again.
