Denney Jewelers was founded in 1954 by the late Ray Denney of Jacksonville. When Ray and his wife, Marilyn, retired in 1992, the business moved to a larger location in Jacksonville and was run by their two sons. In 2000, Shane and Cathy Denney took full ownership of Denney Jewelers and their son Brian joined the business in 2002. Daughter, Michelle, and son-in-law, Matthew Dearing, entered the business in 2005 when Denney Jewelers relocated to their current location at the corner of Veterans and Wabash in Springfield.
