Sunpower used to be a great company. I used them once prior and they did a fantastic job. This time they made promises they couldn't keep. I was promised 6 months no payments when I signed. It has been over 6 months and I have had to make all of the payments. The loan company said it wasn't their responsibility to reimburse me. Sunpower said it was the loan company's responsibility to reimburse me. I have spoken to at least 8 Sunpower employees who have enthusiastically offered to help with zero results. The sales person made the promise and now Sunpower isn't delivering. In addition, the entire process with Sunpower has been a disaster from the start. They have their salespeople in ***** looking at satellite images of your home, and they have no idea what the situation is onsite. The installation looked like children installed the panels and wiring. The ground wire was draped to the electrical box without anchors, they had no idea how to tap into the ground initially, and now my system has a faulty micro inverter. The project manager sent a tech out to diagnose the problem. He said that he needed to order the part. The project manager then emailed me nearly right away to say that the system was fully operational. I asked him how when no physical work had been done and he ghosted me on the email. They send a new person out each time that has to redo or learn from scratch and has no idea what happened prior. Now I have a faulty system and no reimbursement for the 6 months. If I stop making payments, guess what, I'll have a lien on my property.You have no recourse if something should go wrong. You have no power in your hands to do anything about it. DO NOT USE THEM, DO NOT GET SOLAR POWER AND DO NOT SIGN A CONTRACT, unless you are prepared to get an attorney to take your case, which by the way, they won't because there's no money in your case. Don't play their game. Just opt out of solar or buy as house with it already installed.
