On February 18, 2022, United States Attorney Jennifer Arbittier Williams announced that Matthew Pardi and businesses were charged by Indictment with wire fraud, interstate transportation of property obtained by fraud, and aggravated identity theft in connection with a scheme in which they held customer's belongings for ransom.
