1 starEverything in these reviews is trueAt the end of the demonstration of how our culligan water was so terrible, he asked, its an easy choice which water you want. And he displays the two glasses of water (his rain soft and our culligan). I then tell him my husband and I will talk this over tonight and let you know our decision. He then tells me, why it is an easy choice. (Said in a addressive voice, and growing more impatient) he then says, what is there to talk about. I told him I honestly am going to ****** you on the better business bureau and see what the reviews are. Then he responds with, why dont you look it up on your phone while I clean up. I then do so, I find all of these reviews explaining what has been happening with us. He asks me on what I found and then I tell him, your company has a 1.25 rating on the BBB, so no we will not be purchasing from you. He then says more aggressively we have over ****** customers of course there is going to be some bad reviews and those bad reviews arent even from your area (****) I said thank you for your time and have a nice drive home..This place is a money scam.

1 starI was told during signup that I was agreeing to a fixed rate installment loan, instead I was forced onto a credit card style set up with compounding interest. I was also told when we moved, the uninstall and reinstall would be a flat fee of under $200 each but had to pay over $300 for uninstall and was quoted over $750 for reinstall. I now have a system not even hooked up, taking up space, and a "credit line" I have no access to saying it will take almost 10 full years to pay off at the monthly payment they quoted me. This is the biggest financial scam I have ever seen.RainSoft

All of our distributors are independently owned and operated, and would be in the best position to address the customer's concern. 1 starIt was great until it wasnt!!!! We have had this ****************** than two years and as costly as it is, having a huge issue. I wake up and gallons and gallons of water are running into the street from the equipment and will not stop and Im told theyre going to send a technician and we have to pay even though, were still making payments on this equipment and its having problems at no fault of our own but they want us to pay for it! My water bill is going to be through the freaking roof looking like were filling up a swimming pool and all of the water is in the street. We literally had to turn the water off to the house for it to stop. Its a hard no when it comes to recommending this to anyone.Review fromDonna M

1 starSold me a system for 80/month but didnt tell me that amount was temporary. After six months my payment tripled. Im a retired 70 year old woman on social security. They refuse to make this right. Its a scam just to get you to buy their system.RainSoft

1 starsystem is way over priced and does not work like they said it was supposed to. Lifetime warranty is a joke and I hate it. Dont buy one check out other systems firstRainSoft

Our dealer in ******* has reached out to the customer in order to schedule a service appointment. Based on their records, the filters on the reverse osmosis haven't been changed since the system was installed in 2021. It is our understanding the customer is on well water, so yearly maintenance is recommended. RainSoft ****************Review fromHassan C

1 starBeing new homeowners we were pressured and really tricked into thinking our water was poisonous. After having this system for a little over a year we already have to pay for repairs on top off still having to pay for this scam system. Do not buy this Rainsoft product. Go with another company. Only having this system for a year I shouldnt have to pay $245.00 to fix a product that should not be broken. I want this system removed from my house and the rest of my contract canceled. I should be refunded. This company is a scam company and ran horribly, with a horrible product that you will have to keep paying to fix motors when they should not be broken.. DONOT do buisness with Rainsoft.RainSoft

We appreciate you bringing this to our attention. We reviewed the complaint with our distributor in ******* and the customer was installed 1 year, 8 months ago. The equipment has a lifetime warranty on parts, but unfortunately there would be a charge for the service call. 1 starI put in a Raffle at *********** A few weeks later, I get a call saying I won a $25 dollar gift card, something I never received. They get into a conversation about getting our water tested, they schedule an appointment for the next day.. lady comes to test our water to say its unhealthy to drink, cook and wash with. She goes over the paperwork with my husband after being approved. After that, we was told someone would be coming to install it. Day later a man comes, he installed it.. after a month, we noticed the bottom of the toilet was turning black, and the tub was turning yellow. We contacted them multiple times, left soo many messages for them to uninstall it. Finally someone calls back, my husband tells them that we want them to remove the system, instead! They sends someone over. And the guy tells us that, he was told that we needed it to be fixed as if we was having problems with it. We told him, we wanted them to take it out of our home. They never taken it. We been going back and forth with them for the past 4 months. Finally on Tuesday October 17th, someone called. My husband told them Will someone will be removing the system, the guy told him, that they cant remove it after 3 days. Sooo confusing. Because the lady that came to sign us up, she NEVER MENTIONED THAT TO US. RAINSOFT is a scam. I dont believe our water was as toxic as they say it was. It was only to get ppl to sign up to rip everyone off. Please send someone to remove it.!RainSoft

We reviewed the following complaint with our local distributor and have been assured the customer's equipment is working properly as the water tested 0-hardness the last time it was tested. Our dealer also stated there is a three day right of rescind per ******** law and are left a copy of this notice upon completion of the sale. 1 starI purchased the water softener whole house system. I've tried to purchase parts #***** and ***** and was told to contact my local dealer. I contacted my local and was told that I had to pay $120 for service call plus $89 for the parts I need, plus only the technicians had the parts I need on their vehicle but none for retail sales. I left a voice message for the manager on 3/21/2023 after speaking with a representative. I was also told that there is a shortage of parts at Rainsoft. I contacted the office in IL back but still haven't received a message at the writing of this review. If you need a water softener system don't purchase this one.RainSoft

We checked with our dealer in ******* regarding this matter and have been assured it has been amicably resolved. Unfortunately, we did run into a supply chain issue last month for this particular part which slowed our production down for a few weeks.
