During the months of October and November 2023 a Soap Opera Laundromat employee (I only know her first name, ****) repeatedly made my elderly mother feel harrassed and uncomfortable. My parents have been bringing in their laundry since 2020 because my mother had a breast cancer diagnosis and she can't physcially do her laundry herself anymore. **** has been their laundress for some of this time and started hinting to my mother that she'd want to come clean her house. My mother told her no but **** kept on bothering my mother about it and calling her at her home to ask for jobs. **** would repeated call and ask my mother in person if she'd allow **** to do her laundry at the Laundromat and just pay her directly (not the business) and when my mother refused and said that I- her daughter- would do it her laundry-**** kept making uncomfortable comments to my mother about me. **** also called during our private family thanksgiving dinner to try and solicit work from my parents. At one point when my father brought in laundry she told us that the owner of the Laundromat was going to call the cops on my father (for a reason unknown to us) and that only she as allowed to take laundry from my mother. We believe she is trying to extort my mother for more money on the side. I've contacted this business 6 times and requested to speak to the owner and left messages but he's never called me back. I'm afraid this business is defrauding older customers and harrassing older customers.
