First Home improvement is the most professional home contractor I have done business with. I was informed every step of the way, who would be coming, when, and what the timing for our new roof would be. Calls were returned. Their timetable was accurate, finishing on time, and the owner personally inspected the job, finding a few details that needed attention, which were quickly taken care of. We had a horrible experience !!!! They put on a new roof on our house I July *************************************************** our Master bedroom and master bathroom., the tape between the ceilings and outer walls were lifting . My husband contacted the owner ***** in January of this year and after several back and forths, and after threatening to call our lawyer in JULY we finally got them to take care of it !!!! I may also add they had to paint both rooms and did a horrific job of that too !!!! They definitely should not be in business ! There is so much more I could add !!!!!

The homeowner had a roof replacement by our company back in 2022, their isnurance carrier had approved to replace the roof and rejected to replace the existing skylight on the dwelling property. We had highly recommended that they should replace it with a new one and ** had rejected due to the fact that they did not want to pay any extra money from their own pocket. Based on that we had replaced the roof and installed the flashing around their old skylight. Job was completed and ** was satisfied. However, this year we had received a phone call from ** regarding a leak from skylight that caused a small damage to the Master bedroom. Again we had recommended to them to replace the skylight and they insisted on rejecting to replace it. After several phone calls, and standing behind our professional workmanship, our company had decided to help the homeower and made an agreement with the husband to pay out from our company's own pocket for the new skylight (paid for material and labor) and replace the old one. In return, husband was supposed to take care of the Interior painting in the house. After the installation of the new skylight, we received another a phone call from the wife threatening to contact her attorney and insisting that we should do the interior work despite the agreement that we had made with her husband. In order to avoid that, we had sent a painter to take care of the interior paint. We had done our utmost to satisfy the ** and nothing was satisfying to the them, after all the expense that we had paid from our own pocket, ** posted the complaint on BBB website. Upon request, we do have a copy of the insurance carrier estimate that shows their rejection to replace the skylight. At this moment, we cannot help the homeowner any more...Review from Edwin and Jocelyn P

I would highly recommend First Home Improvement , They are a reliable , ****************** company. They took care of us from start to finish . Our home had wind damage from the recent summer storms, and we started our search for a roofing company. They were at our home during the insurance inspection of our roof , and explained all the steps to us. Then on the day they did the roof job ,their team was there early and started the job on our roof . By the end of the day we had a new roof as well as their team did a great clean up job after they were done. Thank you so much to *********************** and the team for not only great customer service , but making sure that everything was done right !!!Review from Debra A

I would highly recommend First Home Improvement *** to anyone looking for a reliable, responsive roofing company. Our experience with them, specifically ****, was outstanding! I admit, I was hesitant when approached by them initially because I don't like hiring companies I'm unfamiliar with but I am so glad I did! **** made the process so easy. He made sure we knew the steps and timing and even got our roof pushed up so we could avoid rain in the forecast. That was our roof. I felt so at ease with my experience with them that I referred them to my 80 year old father, who also had roof damage from recent storms. Their insurance company was a nightmare! *** went WAY BEYOND what anyone would expect a person to do for one potential clients roof. He researched, helped with phone calls to the insurance company, even consulted other resources to help get the claim looked at correctly. It's so nice to see a company and their representatives putting the customer ******************. I highly recommend them!Review from Michael W

The roof on my home suffered substantial wind damage during a storm in November 2021. After searching for a contractor for few days, I was frustrated at the lack of available options. I finally found 1st Home and was promptly assured that the work could, and would be done before the harsh midwestern winter began in *******. At this point I was worried that my house would suffer much worse damage that had already occurred if the roof was not repaired ASAP. Although I was in and out of town during the time of repairs, the company did a wonderful job of securing the materials at a reasonable price, and more importantly, completing the repairs to my roof during the harsh fall / winter weather conditions . I will be using this company in the future for any repairs that I may need. I highly recommend 1st Home Improvement for any house repairs you may need. ******************Review from Mike I

Fantastic! If you need roofing or other home improvement services you can look no further. ******* and his crew at 1st Home Improvement were excellent from start to finish. It is hard to find good honest contractors that do quality work for reasonable prices and these guys are all of the above. They took control of the project and were spot from start to finish. Our family was very happy with the work of 1st Home Improvement under the leadership of **********. He was careful to explain to us the process of roof replacement, included us in a series of decisions regarding the scope of the work, timing and product selections. He understood the entire system: shingles, drainage system, chimneys, etc. He answered our questions along the way. His work crew was punctual, hardworking and respectful of the property. They did a tremendous job of installation and cleanup. The 1st Home Improvement administrator was communicative and attentive to our needs. Thanks, 1st Home Improvement. We fully recommend your services.
