      Redbox took my money. I ordered a rental for a night returned next night yet I was charged 40 dollars weeks later claiming I turned movie in at 4am weeks later!

      The machine messed up and wouldn't accept movies then redbox customer service is no help one says the charges will be stopped after i return them to new red box the next says they have to be paid for anyhow I think it's just wrong and needs to be addressed there charging me 44$ for 1 movie I DONT HAVE

      We are unable to provide assistance in this channel as there are no transactions tied to the email address that is provided. Please understand, the only time a return would not get processed by the kiosk is 1.) The disc was not inserted into the case correctly so the barcode was facing out or 2.) The case was not properly inserted into the kiosk. In either event, if the kiosk accepted the disc after initially ejecting it back out and alerting the user, we have record of the event and our field team would correct this while adding new movies to the kiosk. If we don't see the disc back in any of our kiosks, the charges should be considered valid up through the 17 day rental period before we consider the disc sold and stop all additional charges.

      Long time customer. I have a gift card balance of $13.39 on my account. When I try using it to rent a movie it doesnt work. Speaking to customer service is no help. One customer rep ***** and saw it was not working. She said she would send me a refund, which never happened. I called again and ******* also saw that there was a good balance in the account and that it was not working properly. She couldnt do anything so I asked for a supervisor. He also saw that I had a good balance and that the system would not work. Said because my original gift card was over 30 days old I could not get a rebate. Offer 7 vouchers for movies, but expires in 45 days. Told him that was not acceptable. Dont know if I would be able to use them in 45 days. Said this was the only way I could get reimbursed. I asked if there was someone else I can talk to and he said he was as high as I could go. Maybe BBB can assist me

      We got a email that we got a free movie via our points but would not work no matter how many trys. Then opt to just pay the **** but kept coming up saying payment did not go through try again. After the 3 attempted locked my card for security and had to call for a release and found they tried to charge **** 3 times. Called redbox and go the run around and then rather than apologizing for messing me over and waste my time said they are canceling my account and hung up! Wow! lost all the points etc

      6/20/23 I have an issue with Redbox and an incorrect charge. Maybe you can assist with this matter after giving you some insight on the pending matter.I recd a Credit Card statement that said I made a purchase of a Redbox rental movie for $40.89 on 4/20/23. A movie was rented on 4/2/23, at a ******* in ******** for $1.11 and returned it the following day with certainty. The movie in question is called Plane. I have made 6 calls to Redbox **************** starting on the day of dispute 4/20/23 with clear and concise documentation on my part with every call detailing customer service individual names, and detailed conversations. There has been no resolution on this ongoing matter now. It has been 2 months. I was told a check would be mailed to me for $39.78.

      Horrible... they charge me 87 dollars for two movies that I returned but they said the kiosk malfunctioned, and I had to call 5 times to try to get it resolved... broken promises... my transaction ID is "4476" and it still has not been resolved....

      Bryan - The refund processed on June 2nd and the delay was due to the funds not being collected when the original request was committed. Please make sure when you are returning the discs to ensure the barcode is facing out as that was the cause of the issue and our camera inside the kiosk could not identify the disc.

      I am a registered nurse and rented the movie Red Rocket out the Comedy section of red box. I have traveled for many years for work, and I work in the ** and ICU. I have seen a lot in my 45 years . This movie was pornographic and promoted underage *** as well as the exploitation of young girls and women. I find it disturbing that red box is promoting an adult film with this content and will do my best get the message out. There are enough horrible things in this world, and you contributing to the demise of not only families and children by allowing this to infiltrate our homes, but the demise of this country who needs positive encouraging programing and support to enhance moral and ethical behavior in todays world. From one front line worker, woman, parent, child, sibling, and partner, and woman of faith, I request that this movie be taken out and that Red Box clean up its act and monitor more closely, as well as think about the effects of the content of these movies to our family unit, and country. -Thank you, ******************** RN

      Horrible customer service, charges you extra night for just about any excuse they can make even if you only have the *** in your possession for less than 12 hours. I'm done paying the same price for a movie as every other online streaming service just because they claim the time difference made you be 1 minute late to return *** and blah blah blah yet you literally only had *** for less than 12 hours. No wonder Redbox is getting such a bad reputation all over the internet and i'm fed up with this.

      We apologize for your frustration, however our return time is clearly displayed in multiple places including our kiosk, the receipt, our website and our transaction terms. If a disc is not returned by 9pm local time the following day, an additional nightly rental fee is incurred. Since you did not provide an email address when processing the rental, we are unable to locate any specific transaction to see what you did.

      In the past nine months I rented around 60 disks that were mislabeled;they were supposed to be dvd's but were actually blue ray.I've also received about 45 bogus promo codes in emails.I've called countless times and gotten promo codes and been told a number of times that someone would look into the issue,but no doubt no one has or ever will.This is totally unacceptable.something needs to be done to end this incompetence.I wouldn't be surprised if someone was doing this on purpose.

      Thank you for your feedback. All of the discs in the kiosk are properly labeled and during the process of selecting your disc, the customer must select if they want a Blu-Ray or DVD. We show that when a Blu-Ray disc is being dispensed, that is due to the Blu-Ray option being selected. Regarding the comment on bogus promotional codes in email, this is also not verified. Every promotional code that is sent has specific terms that are tied to that and need to be honored. If you are getting error messages, we would need to know what title you are trying to reserve and what the error message is. Not all titles are eligible for a full value discount which is outlined in our terms and in the error message that would be displayed.
